EXCLUSIVE: More Manchester Sets And Props Revealed For Captain America!

Check out the following set photos which give us a closer look at the garage where the WWII cars are being stored as well as our first glimpse of the pharmacy they've been building...

Earlier today, I was contacted by Manchester local Paul Plowman who had the following information and set pictures to share with us at CBM: "The picture with the carts was taken off-set in the 'prep' area, the pic of the covered cars was taken in the underground car park storage area, and the others were taken of the 'pharmacy' shop & props." Thanks of course to him for his explanation of the following pictures which were taken yesterday afternoon:

However, Paul did finish with one slightly disappointing bit of information: "I believe that tomorrow is the last day the set is open," which means that they'll now more than likely completely close off the set in order to start filming next week making it extremely difficult to see what they're doing there! However, he did promise that he'll do his best to get some more photos for us tomorrow which will give us a better look at the completed set!

Captain America: The First Avenger will be released in cinemas on July 22, 2011!

Thanks guys, and I have to agree - as interesting as seeing shots like these are (who would have thought they'd label all those bottles in the window when we'll probably barely even catch a glimpse of that shop during the movie!?) it's about time Marvel release some pictures of the cast! Still, I'm hoping that Paul and our other Manchester scoopers will be able to get some great shots when they're filming! :)

I said it before, Ill say it AGAIN... we have the Thor footage, but nothing from Cap except an audio recording?!?!?! I callin Shennanigans. There is no way on gods green earth that we should have pics of Caps chubby stunt doubble AND NOT THIS TWO MINUTES OF FOOTAGE. Come on, what the eff, Marvel? You expect us all to believe, out of the hundreds of people, NOT ONE snagged that sh!t??? In this day and age!?!?!? Damn. (steps off soapbox)

According to various online sources (that attended Comic Con) describing the images that synchronise with the audio clip in question, Hugo Weaving's face appears fine. I'm predicting that the Cosmic Cube causes his disfigurement, especially since "it's not for the eyes of ordinary men".

Ok, I was at Comic-Con. That Cap audio track is wrong. Red Skull says "Yggdrasil" which is the Asgardian tree of life. And the "my fruher" part is his soldier speaking to him. Not Hitler.

@crazyray

Thor was already well into post-production when the Comic Con footage was unveiled, while Cap was only a week into principal photography and hadn't even begun work on the main character himself. The Red Skull footage was shot first to generate buzz on Comic Con, and from all reports even that was relatively raw in nature.

Oh I get it thats its some raw-dog footage...but if i hear one more 'its like raiders...'comment without seeing anything, im seriously going wonder whats going on. Dont drink the Kool aid. lol
@Gmoney- nicely done.
@Mar- then keep the "buzz" going, maintain it...lol. And besides, i just saying that NO ONE got the footage and was able to put ti up yet? I dont believe it.

Josh: The attention to detail is great, just makes it all more authentic.
Joe Johnston, IMO, has got a great approach to visual style which is very evident in The Wolf Man
Some early teaser posters featuring Cap and Red Skull would be interesting.
