Further promoting Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger blu-ray & Dvd release now a video interview with ABC News, 'Dum Dum Dugan' star Neal McDonough once again seems certain he'll appear in a solo film centered on Samuel L. Jackson's ' S.H.I.E.L.D. Director, Nick Fury.' Dotting briefly on that potential film as well the Captain America sequel at the 2:20 mark, watch!

"Oh yeah, Cap 2 is in the works. The script is written and hopefully we will go into production fairly soon. I'm really looking forward to the Nick Fury films. Sam Jackson and myself will be partners in that one. And I know Sam is really excited about doing it. So fingers crossed we start that one up pretty soon."

I know this isn't much, but from McDonough's certainty of appearing and Jackson's "excitement," I wouldn't be too shocked if he has met up with Marvel Studios not only about Captain America 2, but the Nick Fury film as well. Andrew W. Marlowe, who penned a Nick Fury screenplay a few years back, suggested at last year's Comic-Con that the Nick Fury would surely be released after The Avengers. So, could McDonough's recent expressions hint at development progressing? What do you think?

Captain America: The First Avenger focuses on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes and Peggy Carter to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull. Starring Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Tommy Lee Jones, Hayley Atwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Stanley Tucci and Hugo Weaving, the film hits shelves on Dvd and blu-ray October 25, 2011.

@marvel72 Agreed, I don't think it's necessary. A series of short films, sure, but a full length film? Nah.

I still say that they should've turned Nick Fury into a codename.
That way we could see the original white founding memeber of Shield Nick Fury, and Samuel Jackson would be the modern day codename Nick Fury head of Shield.
After all, why would the head of the most discrete government organization in the world ever use his real name?

We can only have a Nick Fury film when Marvel decide what back story they'll use for the the film version. Infinity Formula, Ultimate Super Soldier, Nick Fury is a code name

I hope they go with Infinity Formula.

Also, You don't have to watch a Nick Fury film if you don't want to.

I'd watch it and would be quite excited about it. So clearly some people want a Nick Fury film.

They should just do a full DUM DUM movie. Fury has been in Iron Man and now the Avengers. He doesnt need an entire film.

It could be called DUM DUM DUGAN: BRIM of JUSTICE

They re-inforce the brim of his hat with a vibranium blade.

A Nick Fury movie could/should/would be awesome in my opinion. If you don;t agree with my opinion, then you're a frickin idiot (in my opinion). I also don't think it's a bad idea having the Nick Fury name be more of a title than a single character ( <@ WellDrawn)...
