So while THR are confirming Chris Evans as Captain America, one woman on the 91 bus to London's West End, was yammering away on her iPhone saying she's moving on from on the Green Zone movie to work on this new Captain America thing, filming soon in London. And that both Ryan Phillppe and Keira Knightley have been cast in the movie.

So... Bucky and Peggy Carter maybe?

With 2 months to go before filming starts, does it make any sense that only the lead part has been leaked by THR?
If they have such kick ass inside hook up, why havent they announced all the other players in the movie yet?
Sounds as though Marvel might be using THR to leak some bullshit to throw us all off so they can sneek something in IM2 without anyone knowing.
Hugo Weaving hasn't even been confirmed, thats still a rumor.

i refuse to believe MARVEL would allow such a hail mary casting decision especially on a character SO IMPORTANT to what they are trying to accomplish



I am a life long comic fan and in all the pages of avengers comics which have passed through my hands not once did i see a captain america that even the slightest bit resembled a chris evans more importantly vice versa.


i honestly believe any person vouching for chris has not read enough Avengers.

HELL Ryan Phillppe is 50 times more captain America than chris evans ever would be


and Ryan also has already done a period piece in "flags of our fathers"

Im holding fort untill either comfirmation from marvel or a captain america cameo in which it turns out that the captain is actually Ryan Phillppe


or someone other than evans than i can finally rest




And to anyone prepared to flame me...

Im not saying Evans is a bad choice...


HEs an excellent choice if you are fox or paramount or warner brothers or sony or just not a true cap fan

@Ben Well I think it's pretty set since Stan Lee has stated he's "happy" with Evans picked to play Cap, and I'm sure he isn't getting his news from MTV or some hollywood gossip site.

Evans - 6'

Looks like Evans is more than enough Capt' for Phillippe :P

Not bashing Phillippe though, great actor...except maybe his height.
