What [/Who among the] Invaders/Howling Commandos of Asgard are [/will be] appearing in the movie?

Howling Commandos?
The comicbook "Howling Commandos." were selected U.S. Army Rangers that formed the First Attack Squad of the "Able" company during World War II. This squad was under Sgt. Nick Fury. The name was patterned after a real world squad called the "Screaming Eagles".

Invaders?
The comicbook Invaders were composed of World War II heroes who first banded together to save the life of English Prime Minister Winston Churchill. The thankful Churchill suggested that they should become a team, known as the Invaders.

The list below are the reported Howling Commandos and Invaders that will appear in the Captain America : First Avenger movie. The information provided is from their comicbook history.

INVADERS
1. Captain America

*During the war, "Cap" served as both a symbol of freedom and America's most effective special operative. In addition to working with his young sidekick Bucky, he regularly fought alongside other Allied super-powered heroes such as Namor the Sub-Mariner and the android Human Torch who were the recognized core of the World War II super-team known as the Invaders.
Portrayed by: Chris Evans

2. Bucky

Bucky served Captain America and the Invaders capably and faithfully, leaving the team only temporarily to organize and lead his own team of teenage soldiers, the Kid Commandos. Once, to rescue the Invaders from the Red Skull, Bucky assembled a team of costumed super-humans who operated on the home front, a group that would remain together until the end of the war and was known as the Liberty Legion He also worked with another group of teenagers, the Young Allies.
Portrayed by: Sebastian Stan

3. Montgomery Falsworth

In England in 1942, Lord Falsworth and his daughter Jacqueline befriended the Invaders, a team of costumed champions serving the Allied cause much as Freedom's Five had done during World War I. Lord Falsworth again donned the costume of Union Jack in order to help the Invaders battle the returned Baron Blood, and was made an Invader himself.
Portrayed by: J.J. Field

Howling Commandos
1. Dum Dum Dugan

During World War II, while working as a circus strongman, Dugan helps Nick Fury and Sam Sawyer escape the Nazis during a mission. Dugan later joins the British Army, and when Sawyer is charged with creating Fury's First Attack Squad, also known as the Howling Commandos, Sawyer invites Dugan to become second in command. His exceptional strength saves the day in several of his adventures with the group. During his time with the Howlers Dugan became skilled on all Allied small weapons and gained experience in all forms of hand to hand combat, especially Judo.
Portrayed by: Neil McDonough

2. Jim Morita

Jim Morita was an American of Japanese descent who served in the US army as a ranger during WWII. He joined a Nisei Squadron under the command of Capt. "Happy Sam" Sawyer and served with the Howling Commandos on several missions.
Portrayed by: Kenneth Choi

3. Gabriel Jones

Despite segregation in the armed forces during that time, Jones found himself hand picked by Captain "Happy" Sam Sawyer to enlist in the First Attack Squad, aka the famous Howling Commandos lead by Nick Fury. Jones distinguished himself both with the music of machine guns and his handy trumpet, which he used to jazz countless Howler parties in the barracks and to unusual and effective use in battle.
Portrayed by: Derek Luke (No movie still available for the character)

4. Nick Fury

Portrayed by: Samuel L. Jackson (No "Captain America" movie still available for the character).

I imagine that there's a possibility of other characters not included in this list. (I'll update them when we hear and see more from this movie).

Here's a picture of the Howling Commandos/Invaders. I could see extra pair of feet, so whoever belongs to those might still be a character from the comics..

From what I'm seeing, I think we're not going to see a straight up adaptation of either Invaders (none of the other costumed heroes) / Howling Commandos. We might see the two group combined. If that's the case does anybody know if they are called Howling Commandos or Invaders? Is there official news what this squad is called? I just wished that they leave some gap on the timeline for other adventures. Well, whatever happens I hope we get a great movie.

The only reason Namor, Human Torch etc were not included in TFA is that they would have completely stolen the show.

Plus, if Evans appeared in a movie with the original Human Torch I think the Marvel Universes space time continuum would have imploded.

plus Fox own the rights to the name "Human Torch" and though obviously not the WW2 character they do hold the rights to that character design thats why Toro isnt in it either.

Also this is a Cap movie about the first supersoldier so they didnt want other powered heroes running around.

There is also rumor that Namor's rights are tied up with fox ue to the Fantastic Four.. obviously Wolverine cant appear.

also should this article reflect the fact that Montgomery Falsworth has now become Percival "Pinky" Pinkerton
