We've seen some of the big changes in the All-New, All-Different Marvel Universe, with X-23 taking over as Wolverine, the Thing joining the Guardians of the Galaxy, and more. Now, Bleeding Cool have heard whispers that another character is getting a massive shake-up at the conclusion of Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic's epic event, Secret Wars: Captain Marvel. Carol Danvers, formerly known as Ms. Marvel, has skyrocketed in popularity over the last few years, thanks to an acclaimed series from Kelley Sue DeConnick, but there are changes on the way for the character. The site says they aren't even sure what they are yet, but reiterates they are big.
Now, this isn't a whole lot to go on, but considering Bleeding Cool's reliable track record on comic book scoops (including reporting on Avengers vs. X-Men, Convergence and many more months before their announcements), it'd be wise to keep an ear open for any word on an all-new, all-different Captain Marvel. They also add that whatever the changes, the Jamie McKelvie-designed costume will remain, and, interestingly, is apparently "a lock for the movie and is considered by Marvel one of the reasons the character has such appeal." Sounds like we'll be getting a very faithful Captain Marvel costume when she hits cinema screens, then! What are your thoughts on this report?
