Brie Larson was at the Toronto International Film festival this weekend to promote her first directorial project, Unicorn Store. However, when she sat down with The Hollywood Reporter, discussions turned to how she's acclimating to the Marvel Studios way of producing films.
Said Larson, "That’s one of the things that I’m so impressed with at Marvel – is that although they are this big company, at the same time their stories are really character driven and they care a lot about the journey of these characters and they understand that these films are a metaphor for the things that are very real in our lives."
"There’s been a lot of talk about it, they’re really open to the things I have to say about it, and it’s super collaborative. It feels like any other job at this point, which is really wonderful."
Captain Marvel is set to be a prequel film set in the '90s that will introduce the Skrulls to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's a concept that has many comic book fans convinced that the MCU is headed for a Secret Invasion once the smoke clears after the final confrontation with Thanos in Avengers 4.
Marvel Studios currently has Captain Marvel slated to hit theaters on March 8, 2019.
