CAPTAIN MARVEL Updated Logo Released; Brie Larson Denies Seven Movie MCU Deal Report
Despite originating with one of the trades, Captain Marvel star Brie Larson has now denied reports that she's signed a seven-picture deal with Marvel Studios. We also have an updated logo for the movie...
Earlier today, THR reported that Brie Larson had signed a seven-picture deal with Marvel Studios, but the Academy Award-winning actress has now taken to Twitter to refute this.
We know Larson will appear in Captain Marvel and Avengers 4, and has almost certainly signed on for at least a couple more films since Carol Danvers is expected to be the new face of The MCU. So, really, the exact number doesn't matter - it's enough to know that we'll be seeing a lot of the mega-powerful hero over the next few years!
In related news, an updated logo for the movie has found its way online. There's not really any major differences between this and the last one, but the light gleaming through the title makes for a cool visual.
“Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel sidesteps the traditional origin-story template, and when it begins, Carol already has her powers. She’s left her earthly life behind to join an elite Kree military team called Starforce, led by Jude Law’s enigmatic commander. But before long, Carol finds herself back on Earth with new questions about her past. And she’s got a formidable enemy in the form of the Skrulls — the notorious Marvel baddies made all the more dangerous by their shape-shifting abilities. Ben Mendelsohn plays their leader Talos, who spearheads a Skrull invasion of Earth.”
Captain Marvel flies into theaters early next year.
