It's not hard to understand why Emily Blunt is a fan-favourite choice to take on the role of Carol Danvers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even before proving her ass kicking action credentials in Edge of Tomorrow, the British actress was a popular pick for Captain Marvel. However, despite her name constantly being linked to the character, she most definitely isn't in talks for the role.

"It’s crazy," she tells MTV News."I’ve not had a phone call about it. Not one whisper of Captain Marvel has come my way. Promise. Promise promise. I don’t even know who Captain Marvel is!" So, she's clearly not a fan then! At this point, it almost feels like Blunt is becoming too obvious a choice, but then again, that didn't stop Benedict Cumberbatch being chosen to star in Doctor Strange!
