Is Marvel Making a "Ms. Marvel" TV Series ?

According to a recent rumor, ABC and Marvel are developing a Ms. Marvel TV Series about the most recent person to take up the mantle of Ms. Marvel, Muslim-Teenanger Kamala Khan.

A Reddit user claiming to have inside connections to Marvel has started to spread the word that ABC is in the process of making a Ms. Marvel series that would feature the heroics of Kamala Khan, one of comics only Muslim superheroes. The show is said to deal with the modern day issues of "Islam-Phobia" and combine it with super-heroics. The rumor also stated that "Ms. Marvel" would replace the time-slot curently being taken up by "American Crime" and would premier during Agents Of S.H.E.I.L.D.'s Winter Break next year (similar to Agent Carter).

Keep in mind that this reddit user has no proof to his claims or connections to Marvel and this could be complete BS. However, the post has been removed from Reddit, and this isn't the first rumor of another Marvel show on ABC, so maybe there is something to this rumor after all.

I doubt it. I love her comic but it's to soon to introduce her. She's a Carol fangirl that's why she takes the name Ms Marvel not having that to draw off of kind of makes the name meaningless. Naw I'd say wait until after Carol is introduced in the MCU in some way before putting a MM show.

Yea, but Kamala idolizes Captain Marvel and see's her as a role model, bases her costume after her and it's the whole reason she is a hero in the first place. It could still work, but it will take a lot out of her character. Its kinda like having Nightwing without Batman.

I need to read more of her comic. I dont like the idea because she's such a new character. But I could see them having interesting stories of her being Muslim.

It's hilarious at how naive people are.

There are evil people that believe every type of belief. That's right, bad people are Catholic, Jewish, Atheist, Christian and Muslim.

But if you really believe that EVERY INDIVIDUAL of a certain belief is a homicide maniac or terrorist you might look in the mirror to make sure that you aren't the crazy one.

She seems like a cool character, but I don't dig characters who get too faith-y. It seems kind of ignorant in a super hero world. I dunno, I dig all the catholic stuff with Daredevil, this could be cool too. That being said, I personally hate when anyone speaks about islmaphopia, on either side. It's just such a western-centric idea, it's like people aren't aware of Islam's impact in the world and how much respect it holds in a ton of places.

I'd rather see a scientologist superhero, but I guess we already have Tony Stark.
