To mark Love Your Pet Day, Marvel Studios has released a brief new TV spot for the upcoming Captain Marvel movie which focuses on Carol Danvers' adorable feline friend, Goose.

It's not much, but we do get a few new glimpses of the little fella - who is most likely not a cat at all - purring and meowing away while Carol takes flight.

By all accounts, Goose is one of the highlights of the film, and with marketing about to kick into high gear as we approach Captain Marvel's release date, we can probably expect to see quite a bit more of the mysterious moggy.

Check out the new spot below along with Brie Larson's fun photoshoot with THR. Captain Marvel flies into theaters on March 8.

@NinnesMBC - Am I the only one that gets annoyed with the fact that they keep calling him "Goose the Cat" as in intentionally misleading the general audience? Kind of a ham-fisted way to build to the twist of what it actually is.

Unless of course it is actually just a cat and they bring in Chewie later... hmm.

@NinnesMBC - Four kitties play Goose: Archie, Reggie, Gonzo and Rizzo. Each cat does a specific thing, like push people away or let them pick him up. Cats are so particular!
