William Hurt Speaks On Rumors Of 'Red Hulk' Appearing In CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

After reiterating that he's playing a "different" version of General Ross, actor William Hurt is asked whether or not that version will be the monstrous Red Hulk. Check out his response after the jump!

When William Hurt spoke with The Wall Street Journal, the Academy Award-winning actor was asked about reprising his Incredible Hulk role as General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross in next year's Captain America: Civil War. More specifically, he was asked about rumors that we'll see his character become the Red Hulk. "It's very very different from [The Incredible Hulk], and the style is completely modernized," Hurt said of the character's return. "So, I'm not playing the graphic novel version of Thaddius Ross. I'm playing... a better suit." When asked about the Red Hulk, William Hurt grinned saying, "I don't know, I wouldn't mind feeling like I had that much power." He continued, "but I created Thaddeus originally as an ego the same size as the monsters. With the same degree of messed up-ness. Yeah, I'd love to have a shot at it(?)." What do you think?

I guarantee if they threw Red Hulk on screen everyone would go ballistic about it.

They could honestly set him up as one of the Dark Avengers if they ever go that route.

I think he could be Red Hulk in this; it'd be great since Iron Man barely has any people on his team. Then, how else could Ross be different than what we've seen before. I mean, he can be different, but Hurt is making it seem like a major change. Ross wanting use super humans, technology, and serums to fight the things that are a threat to the nation to wanting to use them to get rid of unregistered heroes is barely a major change, if that is the direction they even go in.

I would love to see a StarK/Red huLk over seeing a Stark/Thor-Ragnarok in this movie, sh*t would be awesome, make Stark really look like a villain n making a huLk but doing it BC he really wants to save the world- Ultron/Vision-ish

Since Hulk won't be getting any solo films anytime soon it could totally make up for that gap of antagonist he's barely had the chance of going toe-to-toe with. It could also make his public appearance more heroic compared to how some of society last viewed him in Avengers. That's even if, Rulk is set to rival him in this flick.
