CAPTAIN MARVEL: Kevin Feige Teases Something "Amazing" For The Eventual Sequel
In a new interview, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige talks cryptically about where a Captain Marvel sequel could go, and promises that we could see the HERo soar to some truly "amazing" places...
As of right now, all signs are pointing to Captain Marvel being yet another blockbuster hit so it probably won't surprise you to learn that Marvel Studios is already mulling over sequel ideas. While Brie Lason has been quoted as saying that she would want to see Ms. Marvel included in proceedings, Kevin Feige has now promised something "amazing" for the follow-up.
"The making of a first film is in some ways a brainstorm on the future and on what can be," he said in regards to Carol Danvers' origin story. "So what it will be again is not clear. But what it could be is pretty amazing."
That may be a cryptic answer, but Feige clearly has some thoughts on where things could go next and common sense says we'll see Captain Marvel back on Earth and coming to terms with being a woman out of time (a plot point Marvel never really gave enough attention to when it comes to Captain Ameria and his arrival in the present day).
If Ms. Marvel factors into things, that's even better. Don't be surprised if Avengers: Endgame ends up providing some clues as well, as that movie is bound to set the stage for what comes next for Carol in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
