Samuel L. Jackson Seemingly SPOILS How Captain Marvel Returns In AVENGERS: ENDGAME
Captain Marvel is set during the 1990s so how on Earth does Carol Danvers end up in the present day for Avengers: Endgame without aging? Well, Samuel L. Jackson has seeming spilled the beans on that...

In Avengers: Infinity War's after-credits scene, Nick Fury used a cosmically enhanced pager to send a distress signal to Captain Marvel. Footage from her solo movie has shown him using the original version of that pager, but why Carol Danvers didn't return to Earth or stayed in hiding for 25 years or so remains a mystery...well, until now, that is.
Samuel L. Jackson has previously revealed that Captain Marvel is able to travel through time but during a recent interview with Total Film Magazine, he seemingly confirmed that that's how she will return in Avengers: Endgame.
"I guess we might figure out that she can do things that nobody else can do," the actor teased. "She can time travel so maybe she can get ahead or behind or whatever, and figure out what all that is. The fact I have the pager 20 years later - it gets addressed in an interesting sort of way."
If Carol does arrive in the present day thanks to time-travel, this could explain why she's been missing for so long (if she's unable to return to the 90s, for some reason) and could tie into the Quantum Realm in some interesting ways. This would certainly explain why she hasn't aged, anyway!
As for Brie Larson, here's what she said about Carol's return after her Captain Marvel introduction. "I'm coming up. They've pager-ed me. So maybe it's going better. I'm just part of this larger journey, but I do feel like it's natural that at a 10-year mark there'd be some endings and some beginnings." Do you think Captain Marvel will utilise time-travel in Avengers: Endgame?
