I don't understand why this adaptation is coming out now? This movie is more than two years old and readily available to watch in any number of easy ways. The reason for doing a comic adaptation is to tie-in to the release of the film and even preview the film by coming out a week early.

Jesus the pacing is bad and the artwork is shuddy.

Marvel's getting tightfisted when it comes to money it would seem.

This stuff is purely promotional material to get us excited for A:AoU. But it kind of fails for all the reasons stated but everyone above.

All the offical MCU comics suffer from this. They only work if you have seem the films before - or you intend to watch them in the near future - which I guess is the point. Designed to pique your interest!

For MCU completists only.

It's already been said but I'll say it again...why is this coming out now? And why not draw the characters how the actors look? But even with that...what's the point?!

It's a JumpStart comic for people who know comic material ONLY from the movie standpoint, particularly for kids who saw the movie, but are just now old enough to start collecting. Stuff like this is done a lot.

I would rather have comics set in the MCU like the Star Wars extended universe than adaptations of the movies.

Positives?
+The movies not only have a comic designation now, but exist in comic format.
+The story now has an actor-neutral retelling.
+If you somehow NEVER saw Avengers or didn't care to, this is a cliffnotes to the events of the first film. You would not have to watch a whole other movie, to enjoy Age of Ultron.
+Marvel has the opportunity to make money in their comic area of the business, outside of the studio.
+Any children or Toddlers ranging from 3-10 may not remember Avengers or weren't old enough to see it. These tie-ins are easy to read and are not terribly graphic.
+If you're not really into comics, but you are into the MCU, it's a great way to sort of get into comics.

And that one is the main one that I don't think a lot of people are considering. See most of you are comic fans already. So it seems dumb to do a comic that's so heavily fast-paced of a movie that someone could already see. But if you consider that the comic is for someone who hates or doesn't read comics, something to make these non-readers go "Oh hey, I remember that!" or "Tee Hee, that was fun!!", they might be willing to pick up a non MCU comic and read. They'll be comfortable.

+Another thing is for other nations where Avengers are huge, but Western-style comic format is not. Places such as Japan. This would be a GREAT way for someone to start reading western-styled format, who's been reading manga their whole life. We read our comics backward.

+Lastly, Marvel has the option to add in any details they forgot or couldn't add.

The comic book adaptation and novelization used to always come about a couple of weeks before the film. We'd see the comic and read the book and be super stoked for the film. Now, The novel is out same day and the comic comes out much later. These folks sure don't know how to do this anymore.

Story wise...they've missed out too many scenes...doesn't make sense now...

For this to work they need to have a twelve issue thing going on. It feels so rushed!

The juxtaposition and sense of time is way more choppy and messed up then the usual. It feels like a dream where you kinda teleport between events. I was here and now I'm there. Within the blink of an eye the events just shift around you. One panel is on top of stark tower, next panel is in stark tower. If I didn't see the movie at all and just read this comic I would be so confused.

Iron man talks to a guy on the roof, now he is talking to a guy in the building! No sense of time. At least cut the panels so it's not Iron man transitioning on himself.
