Gwen Poole was first seen in a variant cover for Deadpool's Secret Wars #2, and after that she managed to make it into Howard the Duck #1, then she got even more time to shine in the Gwenpool Special in December! Now she's going to get her very own comic in April! Check it out! Or well, the cover at least...

People have been bitching and griping for new famle characters. I don't think this is what they had in mind. Although after the success of Spider Gewn I can see why this is a thing. Coming next will be Iron Gewn or Captain Gwenmerica.

I know everyone's like "Ugh", but I'm actually psyched.
I will definitely buy this. If it's shit I'll drop it.

I didn't bother with the Howard The Duck appearances, because I refuse to buy any Howard the Duck post-Gerber, but I did get the Holiday Special. It was fun.
My major gripe with the Hliday Special was that Gwenpool was hardly in it. And that the artist kinda fvcked up on the costume.
See, in the original cover...



...She's obviously lifted up her mask to sup her drink.

But in the Holiday special they made it so that her mask was permenantly like that, even with the bit of loose mask at the top where she'd pulled it.

Plus, I see no reason why she can't actually refer to herself as Gwenpool. Unlike Spider-Gwen, who actually refers to herself as Spider-Woman. Gwenpool, like Deadpool, can break the fourth wall. There's no reason at all they can't actually call her Gwenpool.

And yeah, GoogleWasMyIdea, I think that Emma Stone may have been directly responsible for the resurgence of Gwen-love.

More Frank Miller than Osama Tezuka.
I'd rather have a more adult book than a wacky cartoony thing.
I'm sure it'd be fun either way.
But, GwenPool MAX ftw.

I mean (I know I'm going on, but) seriously, look at those two covers.
The new Gwenpool's totally "I have no idea what I'm doing!Weee!!!" with a big cute smile on her face.
The original Gwenpool's like "I know exactly what I'm doing. Just iced a mansion fulla gangsters. Now I'm having a drink".
