RETROSPECTIVE: Trolls, Diversity In Comics And Movies And Adressing Marvelites & DC Trolls

Just a chill retrospective on DC fanboys and Marvelites and diversity in comics and films.

Recently, this site has been in a hostile mode. With the news that Iron Man was being turned into a teenage, black girl got people mad (teenage black..girl? Yeah, Marvel's just taking it a bit far, eh?) but that doesn't mean that Marvel is SWJ and ruining their comics.

Look, i am not a white and angry man. I'm a black irish man who works in a pub with my mates. I earn a pretty good salary, and i have gone through some not so friendly situations around my race, even being called...you know. Marvel representing black people is nothing wrong; but i do feel as though changing characters is. I mean, you got these characters already established and people have grown to love and be used to these versions of the characters. Miles Morales is a good change; Sam Wilson as Cap was not; yeah, diversity should be insued more and seen more in media, but not like this; Marvel is the ultimate dick in this story.

Like what did Tony Stark do to you? They just HAD to make Iron Man pass the mantle; creating new and exciting characters is out of the question. Today, Doctor Doom, one of the best villains in comics of all time, PERIOD, got retconned into…*drums insue*......IRON MAN!!.

See? This is the most dumb and corporate shit i've seen in my f-ing life! It's unbelievable how they would turn a villain like Doom into Iron Man. Plus this is just re-inforcing the stigma that i noticed these days that Marvel just likes to make random people Iron Man. The teenage black girl was alright; good for diversity although the title should be Iron Woman or something or Iron Lady; come on, Iron Man? Anyways, it is a piss poor attempt for people to buy copies. It happened with the Captain Hydra fiasco and it happened with this.

Now, jumping from this issue to another. This site. Yeah, the very site you're looking this article on. I am new, i mean, i have been following the site for 2 years, but joined only recently and i feel as though the troll problem is out of control. BVS was a failure, 'right? I [frick]ing hated it's guts and the ultimate cut made it slightly better but not a masterpiece, it's still a shite film. So, DC fans are just people who love BVS, according to people who are #TeamMarvelites.

It goes to show that there is unfairness in this site, and much more. People posting RT scores to prove Marvel's superiority over DC have their point. To not come off as a DC 'troll' which i'm not, i'll admit Marvel makes some damn perfect movies. Fun, sad, intense at times, they're just really good. I am a fan of Marvel, i like them. Their comics are shit, but with the money they're making on their movies, they couldn't give less of a shit.

But what if, THE DCEU turns itself around. We all want to see these characters done justice. A rocky and bad start can only turn itself into a good, coherent universe. Or, so i hope.

Marvelites are Marvel fanboys (not all marvel fans, i love you lads, but the goat minded sub community), loving everything Marvel and hating everything DC because the attitude in the comments lead them to believe so, because believe or not, many young teens (around 12-14 or so) watch and love these movies, what's stopping them from going to the interwebs and sharing their opinion? Nothing, so stop and don't tell me that's just a stereotype cause you and me both know it's goddamn true.

Lol, calling others a troll yet you are putting down Marvel fans and making a case for DC.

Irony on the wall.

My problem with changing characters is that is has to feel earned, and the mantle has to be passable.

-Cap-I really like Falcpon as Cap. He has spent a ton of time being Cap's sidekick, and even made a name for himself as a hero. Feels very "Dick Grayson Batman" to me.
-Ms Marvel/Captain Marvel-Glad to see Carol upgraded to captain, and I think Kamala is really fun, with a unique powerset.
-Hulk-Hate this one. Hulk is my favorite character, and I really liked Amadeus Cho too. But Hulk is a fractured part of Banner. It's suppossed to be a freak accident that unleashed the monster within. Even though they are distinct personalities, I always viewed them as the same person. Why they feel that another person should be Hulk (and then make them have relatively complete control over it) is beyond me.
-Thor-Like a lot of people, my main complaint is the name. Thor is an individual, not a title. They should've just gone with the god (or goddess) of thunder. Plus, I feel like Jane Foster hasn't earned anything. Somebody like Sif would've made more sense IMO.
-Wolverine-X-23 was mentored by Wolvie, this feels deserved.
-Iron Man-No problem with this one. I think it would be interesting to see a new side to Iron Man. Tony is a billionaire, but what if Riri has limited funds? It could be fun to see her using mechanical expertise to patch up an armor that is a bit broken down.
-Spider-man-Miles Morales is cool enough, but like Hulk, it just makes Spider-man less special. Either get rid of Parker while Miles is running around, or don't have Miles at all.

both have huge pros and cons, only difference being that dc can't get their damn universe started properly. movie wise im sooo much a marvel fan, everything else im on the fence.

redundancy is redundant

Articles like this accomplish absolutely nothing. You think your proving a point, but your not doing anything but troll yourself. Your just trying to irritate the trolls that have irritated you. Your just feeding them. They do it cause it's fun for them to see others reactions to their comments. People stop reacting and getting defensive, then the Virgin trolls will leave this site and go over to Pornhub to play with themselves. Cause they have no lives.

Now there are people who do it as just for entertainment. Cause their naturally entertaining. Jollems funny as [frick].

Interesting ideas noted.

1)

Diversity:

At the most in a movie regardless of any genre, you will get one black actor at a stretch you may get two and some people will get upset at the fact there is an ethnic actor.
I'm just waiting for the reaction when hero's who share my faith or ethnicity like Simon Baz or Kamala Khan show up.
Look at the Spiderman Homecoming casting which in my opinion makes it look more realistic and what I see around me in my day to day life, as someone who was born and raised in London.

Civility on this site:

The interaction needs to be more respectful, and balanced.
I think people need to act more like how they would in real life, where you here listen to someone else's view and then express your own but understand that everyone has their own view and no one person is right as they are all opinions and no one person is right.
