UPDATE:DC Comics To Make Big Announcement

Rich Johnston at Bleeding Cool has been on top of the big DC announcements. He called the logo change and when it would be revealed. It looks like sometime tomorrow DC will make another big announcement. Nothing is known about this announcement as of yet, but Johnston having already called some of the big developments, it's hard to imagine what could be coming.

Watchmen 2? The Death Of Superman Again? Wonder Woman to get a new thong?

I have no idea what DC Comics is announcing tomorrow. But whatever it it, it is meant to have big media interest, and something that will attract national news coverage. Which should appear on the DC Source blog at some point.

So sleep well, America. Tomorrow you will wake to a whole new world of DC Comics.

Or something.

It would have to be something larger than a new book, since it is said to garner "national news coverage." We've heard about another Watchmen already, and we've got hints at some other books. Could the DC logo accompanying the story be a clue or just the most handy logo available?

Updated: It seems we may have gotten another clue. Shortly after Bleeding Cool reported this story, J. Michael Straczynski posted the Watchmen themed DC logo and the original story twice on Facebook and said does this tell you anything (or something along those lines. It was yanked pretty fast). It seems like there may be some credence to the Watchmen 2 project.

So, DC 52 Wave 2? Could it be the Watchmen project we've heard about? Death of a big character? DC big event planned for the coming summer? Could it be movie related? Speculate below!

No Alan Moore, no intrest. Unless they are talking about just doing the prequel comics to Watchmen do not do a sequel.

I find it highly unlikely that they'd make a Watchmen 2. I wouldn't mind if they got Alan Moore to wright a prequel story featuring the Minutemen.
