AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #35 Preview Shows Twisted Peter Parker Looking To Take Revenge On MJ...And Paul!

Marvel Comics has released a first look at next Wednesday's Amazing Spider-Man #35 and it shows a twisted Peter Parker seeking revenge on Mary Jane Watson and her boyfriend Paul. Check it out here...

A couple of years ago, Marvel Comics resurrected the Sin-Eater in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man. At the behest of Kindred, he was able to purge Norman Osborn of his sins, setting the former Green Goblin on a righteous path.

After rebuilding Oscorp and finding an unexpected ally in Peter Parker (who was initially keeping an eye on the reformed villain before bonding with his former foe), Norman is now the heroic Gold Goblin. However, his evils didn't just vanish from the world.

Instead, the Beyond Corporation got their hands on the concentrated physical manifestation of those sins and injected them into therapist Ashley Kafka, transforming her into the monstrous Queen Goblin.

With help from Kraven the Hunter, she recently removed those and placed them within a spear that, despite being meant for Norman - in order to bring the Green Goblin back - ended up being plunged into Spider-Man. Now, he's carrying Norman's sins and we've since seen how much that's changed the web-slinger.

So far, he's buried Kraven alive and savagely beaten Norman, all while wearing his black costume. Now, a preview for Amazing Spider-Man #35 (via Games Radar) reveals that Peter's next targets are ex-girlfriend Mary Jane Watson and her boyfriend Paul.

That pairing has incensed many fans, particularly as Peter was getting ready to propose to MJ at the end of Nick Spencer's run. After spending years trapped in a post-apocalyptic future with Paul, MJ fell for him and raised a family (the kids later vanished; it was a magic-related thing), hence why she and Peter are no more.

Now, Spider-Man is out for blood and only "Jackpot" stands in his way. We're guessing the hero won't cross any lines he can't come back from but Marvel Comics says this issue sets the stage for the next 24 issues which, given the title's bi-monthly schedule, means the next year or so.

We're guessing these sins are heading back Norman's way and, if the Green Goblin rises again, that's bad news for Spidey and everyone in his life. Don't forget, Amazing Spider-Man is now on issue #929, so the big #1000 isn't that far away.

Check out a preview of Amazing Spider-Man #35 below. The issue goes on sale next Wednesday.

Remember kids, evil is a tangible thing that can be removed from a person and placed into someone else.

This story technically makes every villain into a victim, because they all are just "infected by evil". None of that pesky perspective sh!t.

@Origame - So... does that mean semen is evil? If so that would explain a A LOT about my kids, the little hell spawn that they are (just kidding kids, heh heh, Daddy loves you, heh heh, now put that down, heh heh, PLEASE put that down? heh heh).

@StSteven - dude, just take a chapter from this comic and stab the kids with a spear until it removes the evil from them.
StSteven
StSteven - 10/6/2023, 7:06 PM
@Origame - Already tried that (naturally I would wostraight to the source) but it didn't work. Actually it was more like a handful of pipe cleaners and gummy worms as I had just used my last spear to shut the neighbor's damn dog up once and or all, but I assumed it would work the same way. No, I guess their evil is just too strong. I might have to resort performing "The Rite of St. Barbie" using a holy juice box and a cross made from taping a couple of markers together. I fear it's the only way.

@TheyDont - would ai give us the she hulk twerking scene?
TheyDont
TheyDont - 10/6/2023, 8:07 AM
@Origame - At least she'd be naked, the way Black Jesus intended.
Evansly
Evansly - 10/6/2023, 8:20 AM
@Origame - Oh no! A woman danced with a musician she likes! The horror!!
Urubrodi
Urubrodi - 10/6/2023, 8:22 AM
@Evansly - "Danced" lol
Evansly
Evansly - 10/6/2023, 8:34 AM
@Urubrodi - You not liking it doesn't change the fact that it is a dance
Urubrodi
Urubrodi - 10/6/2023, 9:23 AM
@Evansly - Exactly the response that I would have expected from you. But even if we were to call that, it doesn't change the fact that is something that felt completely out of place in a She-Hulk tv show and was just cringe.
Origame
Origame - 10/6/2023, 10:09 AM
@Evansly - dude, it's just cringe and out of place. Especially since she complains about unwanted male attention all the time, then does a provocative dance like that in her all windows office in a building where her coworkers are established to be primarily men.
Evansly
Evansly - 10/6/2023, 1:29 PM
@Urubrodi - If you find the whole show to be cringe and that scene to be cringe then how is it out of place if it is all cringe?
Evansly
Evansly - 10/6/2023, 1:30 PM
@Origame - Oh I didn't realize she was doing it for male attention in that office with just the two of them..
Origame
Origame - 10/6/2023, 1:44 PM
@Evansly - ...so common sense is thrown out the window? So I can leave my house butt a$$ naked and yell at anyone who stares?
Evansly
Evansly - 10/6/2023, 2:14 PM
@Origame - I think you are the one who threw out common sense. It is a dance move that she did in an office with NO men in the room. It would be hypocritical if she did it FOR male attention but in this case it was not.

There are plenty of things wrong with the show but her celebrating and dancing with an artist she likes and is representing is not one of them.
Origame
Origame - 10/6/2023, 2:59 PM
@Evansly - so you see nothing wrong with the logic of a naked man yelling at people staring? Seriously, what's the difference that makes the naked guy wrong and Jennifer right?

And you're being ridiculously disingenuous. She didn't just dance with someone she admires. She did a twerk (which is basically a lap dance without the lap) in her completely transparent office surrounded by her almost entirely male coworkers. Nothing about that goes through the head of the character who hates male attention?

And so what if she isn't doing it for male attention? She hates male attention in general.
Evansly
Evansly - 10/6/2023, 3:25 PM
@Origame - I don't care about your made up example.

Just because you don't like the dance doesn't keep it from being one. And since the artist she represents is known for it so HOW DARE SHE USE IT!

Continue to cry about a show you were predisposed to hate

Good day
Origame
Origame - 10/6/2023, 5:24 PM
@Evansly - 1) yeah, you don't "care" because you can't rationalize it. You know a naked man running out in public yelling at people for staring is ridiculous, and you can't think of a difference that makes she hulk in the right in comparison.

2) yes, because you leave out literally everything else about the situation that makes her a hypocrit. If this happened in her apparently or some location where no one else could see then you might have a point. But she's known for hating male attention and is purposely doing it in full view of her almost entirely male coworkers.
Evansly
Evansly - 10/6/2023, 6:00 PM
@Origame - I care about the topic on hand not extras you add in.

The show is clearly too provocative for you. I might suggest shows more your speed that are rated G or Y-7. My kids would suggest Mickey Mouse Club House,Doc McStuffins is great for emotional health that could also be a good start.

Bluey is amazing but it might have topics that are too mature for what you can handle
Origame
Origame - 10/6/2023, 6:42 PM
@Evansly - 1) it is on topic. It's an example of the scenario at play but done to an extreme to show how ridiculous this argument is.

2) yup. Can't defend the action so you gotta strawman me by pretending I'm arguing its inappropriate instead of inconsistent with her established character traits. Nice try.
Evansly
Evansly - 10/6/2023, 6:46 PM
@Origame - You said it was too proactive for you. So other content at a lower age range might be better suited for you.

Good day
Origame
Origame - 10/6/2023, 6:50 PM
@Evansly - I never said it was too provocative for me (you can't even spell provocative so of course you can't understand this 🤣). I said it was provocative and in front of men when she said she didn't want male attention. It's that simple.
Evansly
Evansly - 10/6/2023, 6:51 PM
@Origame - Oh my goodness a spelling error! Arrest me now!!

Anyway..

Origame
Origame - 10/6/2023, 7:07 PM
@Evansly - yup. Still strawmanning. This time pretending that was my whole point instead of just a throwaway observation. You smrt.
Evansly
Evansly - 10/6/2023, 7:08 PM
@Origame -
Origame
Origame - 10/6/2023, 8:27 PM
@Evansly - yes, I'd be frustrated too if I went through life as delusional as you, thinking it makes sense to do a provocative dance in front of your male coworkers when you don't like male attention.
Evansly
Evansly - 10/7/2023, 9:02 AM
@Origame - Oh wow you kept on having this conversation all by yourself, talk about delusional.

Well good morning I guess
Origame
Origame - 10/7/2023, 9:48 AM
@Evansly - ...it's almost as if you were replying to me and I was responding to your comments. You're acting as if I was just mass spamming you when you didn't mention anything 🙄
Evansly
Evansly - 10/7/2023, 10:24 AM
@Origame - it's almost like I stopped talking about it and you kept on going. Oh wait that's exactly what happened.

I hope you continue having a meh day :)
Origame
Origame - 10/7/2023, 10:43 AM
@Evansly - yes, and I filled in the blanks because you continued to reply. Pretty straight forward. But then again, the concept that a person can communicate what they don't literally say can be lost on someone who doesn't understand its hypocritical to hate male attention then do something that guarantees male attention.
Evansly
Evansly - 10/7/2023, 10:46 AM
@Origame - So you admit to having the conversation with yourself. It's good to acknowledge things, you are making real progress!

I'm off to enjoy my day. Look forward to seeing you upset about adaptations that don't line up with your world view by companies who don't care about your demographic.

Hope you have something nice planned for today :)
Origame
Origame - 10/7/2023, 12:54 PM
@Evansly - ...no. I've always claimed to be responding to you specifically. Unless you're admitting you can communicate sh!t without literally saying it. In which case, thanks for proving my point 🤣

And I'll enjoy you crying in your closet as more and more of these companies either cater towards my demographic (as it's the whole reason franchises like the mcu are at all popular) or completely crash and burn.
Urubrodi
Urubrodi - 10/9/2023, 3:18 AM
@Evansly - Dude I was clearly talking about the one scene, not the whole show, try reading my comment again. The show is bad, and there are other cringe moments, but I was referring to the scene the article is about.

Jesus Christ, it's one stupid edgy decision after another with comics these days...
supermanrex
supermanrex - 10/6/2023, 1:43 PM
@DrReedRichards - peter has been twisted countless times before. this is not edgy. the OG symbiote story with peter had going through darker decisions and shit.
DrReedRichards
DrReedRichards - 10/6/2023, 1:52 PM
@supermanrex -

Continuously tormenting Peter is not a staple of a character, though. It's become the norm for all the wrong reasons, so the writers end up trying to one up each other over who gets to write him as more of an asshole, to the point of him being an asshole taking up the majority ofnhis arcs.

As of now, he's not an unlucky good guy. He's a dick with a handful of bright moments.
Urubrodi
Urubrodi - 10/6/2023, 8:22 AM
The writing is shit, but... I kind of want Peter to destroy them. That'd be satisfying.
