Brian Michael Bendis' International Iron Man series came with a twist that knocked the fan's socks off! It was revealed in previous issues that Tony Stark was adopted, which means his real parents aren't actually Maria and Howard Stark. Shocking, right?

A few issues back, comic readers learned that Tony Stark's biological mother was a S.H.I.E.L.D agent by the name of Amanda Armstrong. After that, hints were then thrown out that seemingly revealed that Stark's real father was also a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent named Jude. Well, in the latest edition of International Iron Man, it was confirmed that Amanda and Jude are indeed Tony's biological parents.

That's not all though! Issue #7 also revealed that Jude (Stark's real father) was a double agent for Hydra, who sold S.H.I.E.L.D.'s confidential information, so that he and his family could be safe.

With that said, you would expect Tony and Jude to reunite and hash out all of their problems, right? Not exactly. Once Amanda (Stark's real mother) caught whiff off Jude's detrimental secret, she stabbed him to death. In turn, Amanda would then go on to quit S.H.I.E.L.D., and put Tony up for adoption. I'm pretty sure you can piece together the rest from there.
