COMICS: [SPOILER], You Are The Father; Marvel Reveals Tony Stark's Biological Parents

Brian Michael Bendis' International Iron Man series came with a twist that knocked the fan's socks off! It was revealed in previous issues that Tony Stark was adopted, which means his real parents aren't actually Maria and Howard Stark. Shocking, right?

A few issues back, comic readers learned that Tony Stark's biological mother was a S.H.I.E.L.D agent by the name of Amanda Armstrong. After that, hints were then thrown out that seemingly revealed that Stark's real father was also a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent named Jude. Well, in the latest edition of International Iron Man, it was confirmed that Amanda and Jude are indeed Tony's biological parents.

That's not all though! Issue #7 also revealed that Jude (Stark's real father) was a double agent for Hydra, who sold S.H.I.E.L.D.'s confidential information, so that he and his family could be safe.

With that said, you would expect Tony and Jude to reunite and hash out all of their problems, right? Not exactly. Once Amanda (Stark's real mother) caught whiff off Jude's detrimental secret, she stabbed him to death. In turn, Amanda would then go on to quit S.H.I.E.L.D., and put Tony up for adoption. I'm pretty sure you can piece together the rest from there.

WTF, Marvel!?

@Mecha - It's a good thing their movies are excellent. Because their comic books are going off the rails.

Right now, Marvel is to comics as DC is to movies.

@Mecha - What I've been asking literally forever.

@Clundgren - No, Marvel Comics right now are the apocolypse. Atleast some people can enjoy Dc movies (and they're not cluttered with PC bullshit, twists that make no sense, killing off main character for no reason etc.)

@Mecha - Peter Parker is rich and owns a corporation, Captain America is working for Hydra or thinks he is, Ironman was adopted, Thor is not worthy, Falcon is also Captain America. Mary Jane works for Tony Stark and is not married to Peter. There are a minimum of two concurrent Spider-Men. Wolverine is both old and dead. There is currently no Fantastic Four, and the X-Men are slowly either getting killed off or written out.

Just retire characters. At this point, I think fans would be happier if you just let Peter marry MJ, have a kid and then the whole family [frick] off. Let Cap go become a senator or something. Have Tony open a school or something and just get rid of these people instead of turning them into all new variations of themselves that don't actually even fit their own old personas.

@Mecha - I know, right? And does this even matter at all? So he was adopted at birth by a the Starks. They helped to shape him into the man he is today. His genetic make-up doesn't matter.

Maybe if one or both of his parents were mutants or Inhumans it would matter. This just seems pointless.

@Clundgren - exactly my thoughts since the marvel movieverse went through the roof the comicbook storylines kept getting worse and worse. Only Marvel series I'm still reading is Silver Surfer, just because for nostalgic reasons. It isn't good either.

@MattBellissimo - yeah, it isnt even a good twist thatll blow your mind or alike. Its just a twist with no meaning at all to Tony´s current day persona

@MattBellissimo - I'd recommend not putting anything they've done recently on film.

To everyone freaking out, or about to freak out, they revealed Tony was adopted quite a while ago.
