NICK FURY: The Marvel movie every Marvel fan is wanting.

The Nick Fury movie has been rumored for sometime now. IMDB says (announced) Samuel L. Jackson says he is in negotiations to extend contract. Could we be getting a solo movie from Nick Fury after all?

We were first introduced to Nick Fury, by surprise at the end of Iron Man. This appearance started it all. Nick Fury: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been with us since 2008 appearing as a leader, as a help for the Avengers and now we sit back and wonder...how did it start? What is Nick Fury's story? Sure we have read the comics and know a little about the back story, but how did he become affiliated with S.H.I.E.L.D. Why is Nick so secretive? How did he lose his eye? Did he know Agent Carter? What was his relationship with Howard Stark? Inquiring minds want to know. It's been rumored for quite some time and there is even a placeholder on IMDB for a Nick Fury film.

The synopsis reads..."A daring amateur boxer from Hells Kitchen is recruited by the Army for some top-secret assignments. He soon is promoted to captain, where he puts together the First Attack Squad, a group of elite soldiers who carry out elite missions."

With the buzz around all the Marvel movies and myself being a designer, I put together my own Nick Fury poster. In hopes of maybe soon, Marvel will make the move and make the movie. I also have seen where Samuel L. Jackson is supposed negotiations with Marvel on extending his contract. Could it be...this movie will actually happen?

I guess time will tell. In the meantime, we can all hope and wait for Marvel to do something this huge in the future. Just because they have their slate of movies...doesn't mean they won't throw a curve ball and change things up and add a un-named film in the mix and make us wait with anticipation. But, I think every Marvel fan really wants to know the real story of Nick Fury and how he is the super spy we all know and love today.

I'm waiting for a Marvel movie starring a white guy, a crappy villain, and the lead actor who's name must begin with Ch.

I'll take 2 out of the 3 but if Marvel ever does a film with 2 or all 3 of those things, let me know.

@DrKinsolving - "Fury rocks, but a standalone Nick Fury movie?"

It can't be worse than the first Nick Fury standalone movie, see my last comment.
