COMICS: Who Are THE AVENGERS Of 1,000,000 BC? Meet The First Two Members Here

Marvel Legacy #1 will introduce a team of prehistoric Avengers and now some new Mike Deodato artwork has been released which offers up a very interesting look at that era's Black Panther and Starbrand...

For some reason, Marvel Legacy #1 is going to introduce readers to a team of prehistoric Avengers. What sort of impact this will have on the present day Marvel Universe remains to be seen but there has to be a reason the publisher is planning on revealing the "startling origin of the Marvel Universe."

Below, we're introduced to both Black Panther and Starbrand. The former is draped in the skin of his namesake and is likely T'Challa's ancestor, while this version of the latter
hero is a massive caveman.

Other team members who have yet to be revealed include Thor's father Odin, Iron Fist, Ghost Rider, Phoenix, and Agamotto. They all obviously have links to current heroes like Danny Rand and Jean Grey so chances are this team will have an impact on them at some point too. What do you guys think?

Share your thoughts in the comments section and expect more of these to be revealed shortly...

Nah. Not a fan of the idea, let them be called something else not Avengers.

@breakUbatman - Maybe that's just the comic name, not the actual name of the team.

@breakUbatman - I doubt they had much of a spoken language back then. Maybe they could be called, Aguhguh! I am not usually opposed to ideas for stories, just the execution, so here's hoping this is well executed.

I trust Aaron, but i still think this is a mistake.
I'm talking about the concept and the roster, i'm ok with some of 'em, but not all.
Like that BP over there for example...I know this is all fan-fic, but still...
Curious to see GR and Phoenix tho.

Also this could be one of those rare scenarios where they could use the Inhumans without any problems (a retcon at worse) instead of forcing them on every single Marvel Event.
You know, the Kree stuff, their first experiments etc...
Dunno if they will do that, i doubt it, but you never know...

1 million BC is a bit excessive.

@Snotzo - yeah, why not just go with 100,000 BC and call it a day.

I'm not too much of a destiny guy, I like the idea that there came a day unlike any other and on that day the Avengers were born, and I like the fact that I read the story of that first time.

This Black Panther is probably Bashenga (although it would be a retcon considered he existed 10,000 years prior to the present day).
