Marvel Comics Is Teasing A Surprising Hero To Replace IRON MAN In The Marvel Universe...DAREDEVIL!

It sounds like a new hero will be taking over the Iron Man mantle later this year, but it's definitely not a name we would have ever expected to see suit up as the Armoured Avenger...the Man Without Fear!

Yesterday, Marvel Comics released their June 2020 solicits, and the signs could now be pointing to Matt Murdock/Daredevil taking on the Iron Man mantle later this year. However, given what's happening with Tony Stark at the moment, this wouldn't be the most surprising development.

Arno Stark's battle with his brother has pointed to the "A.I." Tony seemingly dying yet again, and the sight of Iron Man's helmet with the Man Without Fear's horns on it is definitely striking.

"Still grappling with the blood on his hands, Matt Murdock makes one of the biggest choices of his life," reads the solicit text for Daredevil #22 from Chip Zdarsky and Francesco Mobili. "But what effect will Matt’s choices have on Daredevil? And what about the people who need him? See why people are talking about Daredevil as one of Marvel’s best ongoing series!"

Recently, Daredevil has ditched his black suit and returned to his classic look. Could the street level superhero trade that in for a powerful suit of armour which will help him protect the mean streets of Hell's Kitchen? There's nothing to say that this will be a permanent change, but it will be fun to see play out even if it's just a one-off.

It feels like it's been a while since Marvel Comics did anything crazy or unexpected, so this could be something that definitely gets comic book fans talking again.

What do you guys think?
