Ranking the Upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies from Least to Most Anticipated

The MCU has become one of the biggest movie franchises of all time, and it's showing no signs of slowing down. Here is my list of the upcoming films from least to most anticipated. Do you agree?

7. Ant-Man and the Wasp
By no means am I not looking forward to this movie, but compared to Marvel's other upcoming films, there isn't a whole lot to get hyped up for. The first Ant-Man was fun and I'm sure this one will be too; I just don't see it being as memorable as some of the other Marvel movies.

6. Spider-Man: Homecoming
Tom Holland as Spider-Man was one of my favorite parts of Civil War, so it's no surprise that I'm excited for this. I'm a little concerned about Sony's involvement and I doubt it will cover much that we haven't seen in a Spider-Man movie before, but it looks good so far and Michael Keaton as The Vulture will hopefully be better than most of the previous Marvel Villains.

5. Captain Marvel
We're still a ways away from this movie, so I don't know enough about it to rank it any higher. However, with Brie Larson as Carol Danvers and the fact that this is the first and long overdue MCU movie with a female in the leading role, I'm pretty confident that it will be great.

4. Black Panther
With the director of Creed, and Chadwick Boseman, who proved in Civil War that he was the perfect choice for the role, I can only Imagine how badass this movie is going to be. All hail King T'Challa!

3. Thor: Ragnorok
We haven't gotten a great Thor movie yet, but with Taika Waititi's unique direction, the cosmic tone, and HULK SMASHING! This has potential to be one of Marvel's best.

2. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
The closest of Marvel's upcoming films, I can't wait to see it. The first Guardians is quite possibly the most fun of the MCU, and hopefully James Gunn can once again deliver. Just seeing the characters again makes this one of my most anticipated.

1. Avengers: Infinity War/ Avengers 4
This is what the entire MCU has been building towards. The Avengers face Thanos. And with the Russo Brothers at the helm, this should be the biggest, most epic comic book movie ever made. Fingers crossed...

Saw GotG Vol. 2 last night, while I didn't enjoy it as much as the first it's a more than worthy follow-up.

My ranking of anticipation would be;

6. Ant-Man & The Wasp
5. Spider-Man: Homecoming
4. Captain Marvel
3. Avengers: Infinity War
2. Black Panther
1. Thor: Ragnarok (that teaser got me hyped af)

7.Ant-Man and the Wasp
6.Avengers:Infinity War
5.Black Panther
4.Captain Marvel
3.Spider-Man Homecoming
2.Thor: Ragnarok
1.GOTG Vol. 2

For numbers 4-6 I'm very excited for each of the,. but for me right now I just feel like I haven't seen enough to be hyped about.

1.Avengers: Infinity War (Obviously)
2.Black Panther (I've been waiting for them to do this since phase 1, can't wait)
3.Thor: Ragnarok (Has an insane amount of potential)
4.Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2 (Really liked the first one)
5.Spider-Man: Homecoming (My favorite character hopefully being done justice)
6.Ant-Man & Wasp (Should be a lot of fun)
7.Captain Marvel (Just not enough to go on yet, but I am still very excited for it)

In other words, I'm really excited for everything they've got coming up, just some of them are on another level & some of them we don't have much to go on besides the casting of the leads & the directors. I'd be curious to see an article like this for the DCEU slate of films (tho I know those are less set in stone so it'd be hard to have concrete details to be excited about).

@ThouBear8 - for the dceu films, I'd rank them:

1. The batman
2. Justice League
3. Aquaman
4. Flash
5. Mos sequel
6. Wonder woman
7. Black adam

Not sure when but if green lantern or green lantern corps ends up as being made that would move high on my list.

@Lurchadamo - This is my issue, they've also discussed a Suicide Squad 2, Gotham City Sirens, Batgirl, Nightwing, Shazam, Cyborg, & Justice League Dark. Considering all of those, assuming they all get made (which I doubt), I guess I'd say:

Absolutely can't wait

1.The Batman
2.Justice League

Really excited for

3.Green Lantern Corps
4.Aquaman
5.Wonder Woman
6.Nightwing

Has a ton of potential

7.The Flash
8.Batgirl
9.Shazam

Could be good but there are a lot of variables that could go either way

10.Man of Steel sequel
11.Suicide Squad 2
12.Justice League Dark
13.Gotham City Sirens

Don't see the point in them making it all

14.Black Adam
15.Cyborg

@ThouBear8 - out of the others you mentioned, I'd be interested in nightwing and batgirl...but yeah no interest in cyborg at all, don't think he should even get a solo flick

ThouBear8 - 4/27/2017, 6:40 PM
@Lurchadamo - Agreed, I wouldn't mind a titans movie, although that probably wouldn't have Cyborg in it anyway since they insist on having him in the Justice League.

My list;
1. Avengers 4 (Will effectively conclude Phase 3 and any deaths should occur here)

2. Avengers: Infinity War (Will be a massive movie, at the moment feels predictable)

3. Thor: Ragnarok (Tons of potential, especially looking forward to Surtur)

4. Guardians of the Galaxy V2 (Liked aspects of the first film, hoping that it is a strong film even though i am worried it may be filler)

5. Captain Marvel (Unfamiliar with the character, but the description of her being the most powerful character in the MCU intrigues me as to the fights that may happen in her movie)

6. Black Panther (Not familiar with the character, this one sits in an akward position where its just before Infinity War so i'm not particularly hyped for it and feel it may have been better having this movie after Infinity War as at this stage fans just want to see the culmination rather than more set-up and filler)

7. Spider-Man: Homecoming (View this mostly as set-up for the inneviteable Sinister Six in the MCU. I'm not interested in seeing another origin style story of him proving himself - so mostly going in for the web swinging and comedy

8. Ant-Man & The Wasp (The humour, romance and characters did not work well in the first movie so i'm not interested in the second unless the focus shifts heavily to 'The Wasp')

Most astounding to me is that by the time we get to the last film the MCU will be comprised of 22 films!! Who would have ever dreamed we would see something like that? Amazing.
