M-O-O-N, that spells mo-money. Last month, Josh Boone ("The Fault In Our Stars") revealed that he finished the script for his adaptation of Stephen King's
The Stand. That's impressive. As anyone who has read the book knows how long it takes to get through the 1,000-plus-page novel. Now just imagine how difficult it is to condense it into one three-hour long film as Josh Boone has previously stated. Author Stephen King now informs us that one film may not be enough for Boone.
“
I think that his take is terrific — and don’t count on it being one film,” Stephen King told MTV. “
There’s talk about doing it in an entirely different and innovative way, and I don’t want to go into it because that’s Josh’s baby.”
One man escapes from a biological weapon facility after an accident, carrying with him the deadly virus known as Captain Tripps, a rapidly mutating flu that - in the ensuing weeks - wipes out most of the world's population. In the aftermath, survivors choose between following an elderly black woman to Boulder or the dark man, Randall Flagg, who has set up his command post in Las Vegas. The two factions prepare for a confrontation between the forces of good and evil.
