CONSTANTINE Officially Axed By NBC; Will Search For A New Home
Premature reports on the cancellation of the small screen DC Vertigo adaptation gave fans some hope that we'd see a second season, but now producer Daniel Cerone has put the final nail in Constantine's coffin with a Twitter update. Is there a chance of new life elsewhere?
It's the news fans of the Hellblazer adaptation were dreading, but it seems we won't be getting a second season of Constantine... at NBC anyway. When the network declined to order more episodes after the initial 13, most of us figured that was the end of the line -- but Warner Bros. TV insisted that reports were premature, and a renewal was still a possibility. Well, even if that was the case then, it's not now. Here's the Tweet from the show's executive producer.
So where could WB look next? There were rumors that SyFy were interested but they seem to have been debunked, with Deadline now suggesting Fox -- where fellow Vertigo-based adaptation Lucifer also looks likely to be picked up -- is a possibility.
Are the majority of you disappointed, or did you find the show lacking anyway? Sound off below.
