Before Robert Downey Jr. "demanded" that we appreciate the introduction of the latest actor to take over the role of the Incredible Hulk 'Mark Ruffalo', backstage Geoff Boucher of LA Times | Hero Complex caught up with the actor. Briefly before facing the hundreds of SDCC attendees, Ruffalo seemed dazed and enthused saying...

"It's like 'Hamlet' or 'Romeo and Juliet,' a new actor gets a crack at it every year," Ruffalo said with a chuckle. "But really it's all heady stuff. It's exciting to be here. It's great to be a part of all this."

With Tony Stark's approval, the SDCC audience gracefully applauded for their new Bruce Banner as he joined the stage of the official cast. The cast which includes Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye).

And Joss Whedon in the director's chair, production begins on The Avengers early next year. And our Earth’s Mightiest Heroes assemble on the silver screen May 4, 2012.
