DAREDEVIL: Charlie Cox Knows (Some Of) His MCU Future And Says "It Could Be The Next Ten Years Of My Life"

Following his return in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Charlie Cox has talked more about his Daredevil future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, confirming that he knows what comes next for the Man Without Fear.

When Daredevil was cancelled after three seasons, fans quickly took to social media to ask Marvel Studios if they would #SaveDaredevil. Well, Kevin Feige ultimately obliged, and Vincent D'Onorio and Charlie Cox both separately reprised their respective roles last December in Hawkeye and Spider-Man: No Way Home

All eyes (no pun intended) are now on where they could appear next, and there's a lot of curiosity surrounding the future of Cox's Man Without Fear. Matt Murdock has the potential to make a huge difference to the MCU moving forward, and it seems the actor already knows what's on the cards.

"I think at this point, I expect to be involved in some capacity," he told HeyUGuys when asked what his future in this shared world might look like. "Otherwise, it would be a bit of a weird one-scene moment. I don't know much, I know a little, and what I do know I'm very excited about...there’s a chance it could be the next ten years of my life."

It's already been rumoured that Daredevil has a role to play in She-Hulk and Echo, and it's likely the actor has already shot his part in the former seeing as production wrapped a while ago.

Marvel Studios doesn't necessarily need to "fix" Matt Murdock after his stint under the Marvel Television banner, but a reintroduction is required (especially for those who didn't follow those Netflix shows). Hopefully, the end goal is a new Daredevil movie or TV show as the character deserves one...quite a bit more than the likes of Agatha Harkness and War Machine, in all honesty!

What do you hope to see from 'ol Hornhead in the MCU?

Great! Just fix that costume so the mask goes down diagonally across his cheekbones and not horizontal.

@dragon316 - Shut up Dragon. My God, he's just giving his preference on the shape of the mask. He didn't say anything about comic accuracy, you broken [frick]ing record.

@Corruptor - I always thought it was the shape of his lips that made the mask look off.

@dragon316 - Dude get help. The amount of hate you have for the MCU is pathetic.
You and your comments are not relevant and add nothing to the conversation.

Dope! I've been dying to see him suit up in the MCU in some capacity. Glad they have a plan in place and he could potentially be a part of it for years to come.

OT and SPOILERS: After the previous 2 glorious episodes, didn't even Don on me they could have had Robert Rodriguez directing the finale too....

Keep him the [frick] away from anything STAR WARS. That finale was pathetic. How they gonna just kill off Cad Bane like that? Why? To legitimize Boba as a legend? He's done nothing cool all show, benched for 2 episodes and shown up by other characters, then in the finale he rides a Rancor which apparently he bonded with to that level off screen... and then gets his ass kicked by Cad Bane who could have killed him multiple times, holds a blaster to his rib cage and doesn't shoot but rather stands up.... then Boba materializes his whommping staff and murders him suddenly.... [frick]ing stupid.

This entire show sucked aside from the 2 episodes it stopped being Book of Boba Fett and became The Mandalorian season 3 episodes 1 and 2. Then Robert Rodriguez came back to hack his way through the finale. The worst 3 episodes are his BY FAR. Like it's noticeable, the quality of the show suffered when Robby was steering the ship.

I remember watching Dragon Ball Z back in the day, and some episodes would have gorgeous animation with crisp and sharp lines that looked perfect, then the very next episode would have trash animation with more rounded lines and bloated, sloppy, rushed looking work that was a very noticeable dip in quality. I've never felt that way about a live action tv show until Book. Rodriguez is the crappy animation episodes.

At least until they cast Wolverine, I think he's definitely one of the characters the MCU will wanna prioritize.

That suit looks so good from some angles and so awkward from others 🤷‍♂️
Either way, glad Charlie's back. Hope he's not the only Netflix actor they bring back.

I'm not sure the dig at War Machine was necessary, bro.

Armor Wars has the potential to be one of the best D+ shows if they bring Justin Hammer back.

While I agree Daredevil needs a show ASAP. Your little shitty comment about War Machine aka Don Cheadle not deserving a show is way out of line. Agatha Harkness clearly has a devoted following already or Feige wouldn't waste time with it either. Don't be an ass and shit in other people's cup of tea just cause you don't want to watch them.

Lol the Agatha Harkness/War Machine comment was a fire starter, but I can’t help but see the point. Marvel has been treading water on the Disney + shows. Apart from bits and pieces of Loki and Wandavision, the shows have some serious flaws and I’m not convinced they’ve earned an Agatha Harkness show in particular when something as important as introducing the next Captain America came in such a boring show. I’ve always said the bar to reach for these shows is Daredevil season 1 and now that they actually have the character back that is true even more now.

If Charlie is ok with that, then I know most of us probably are too. The man is incredible as Matt Murdock/DD. That dedication and sacrifice is greatly appreciated. Really looking forward to see DD return to the scree. Big or small.

Maybe not ten, but atleast for the next couple of years I think. My expectation would be that he appears in: She-Hulk in 2022, Echo in 2023, Spider-Man in 2024 and maybe even the next Avengers movies in 2025?

If we compare characters who deserves more screen time:
Daredevil > War Machine
War Machine >>> Agatha Harkness
Agatha is C or D-list character.
