The DC Extended Universe has had a rough time of it since day one, never managing to find the same level of success as the MCU. There's been the odd $1 billion hit and some very well-reviewed titles, but for the most part, it's hard not to deem this era of storytelling as a failure.
That's a harsh assessment, but one which explains why Warner Bros. is heading back to the drawing board to relaunch this shared world - which was never given an official name - as the DCU. James Gunn and Peter Safran are in charge of that as the co-CEOs of DC Studios, and that new era of storytelling begins in earnest in 2025 with Superman: Legacy.
Recently, we asked you which of the DCEU movies you think is the best one.
While it might have felt like attempting to single out the best of a bad bunch, there have been some legitimately great movies over the years, and you all clearly have a favourite!
Thousands of you cast your votes in our poll, and the winner is Zack Snyder's Justice League with 28.68% of the vote. Coming in at a close second was Man of Steel with 24.79%, while Wonder Woman rounded out the top three with 16.4%.
Next up was The Suicide Squad (14.59%), while plenty of you clearly have a soft spot for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (6.75%). One of the DCEU's best-reviewed movies, Shazam!, received a mere 3.61% of the vote and one of the most financially successful, Aquaman, didn't fare much better (3.14%).
Rounding out the bottom of the list were Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey (0.71%), Black Adam (0.55%), Suicide Squad (0.35%) - which doesn't bode well for that #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement - and Joss Whedon's Justice League (0.27%).
Oh, and because there always has to be a movie in last place, that was Wonder Woman 1984 (0.16%).
