DEADPOOL 2 Cut A Post-Credits Scene For Being Way Too Dark... Even By The Merc's Standards

Following those initial reactions to the first screenings of Deadpool 2, we have details on a post-credits scene that had to be removed from the film for being too dark. How dark? Baby-killing dark!..

The first Deadpool movie wasn't afraid to push the envelope when it came to offending the audience, and by all accounts the sequel takes even more pride in seeing what kinds of crazy stuff it can get away with - however, it seems there was one sequence that was deemed far too shocking and wound up being cut.

We get into some mild SPOILER territory when context is added, so read on at your own risk.

Deadpool 2 features a couple of mid-credits scenes (we won't ruin them here), but at one point it also included a post-credits stinger that would have no doubt resulted in a lot of gaping jaws if it'd been left in.

Here's the description via Games Radar:

‘Deadpool in a newborn ward. Standing next to A Hitler. He goes back and forth on doing it. A baby cries and he says “Shut up Ira, you’ll thank me someday!”. Finally, he goes for it, then baby Hitler’s POV as Deadpool strangles him.’

Well, I mean... okay.

To be honest, this isn't too far away from the boundary-demolishing, jet-black humor that The Merc With a Mouth is known for anyway, but it's obviously easy to see why many would view this as a step too far.

What do you guys think? Added infanticide scene for Deadpool 3, perhaps?

What in the [frick]? Is this supposed to be like the first arc of Uncanny X-force?

@aflynn - Now that you mention I would be really happy with them using that as an X-Force jumping off point, but it most depends on whether or not Apocalypse has anything to do with Cable's future in this one

@OmegaDaGrodd

Will be interesting to see how they handle Apocalypse. Would make for some good joke material.

@OmegaDaGrodd - what the shocking Oscar Isaacs apocalypse they butchered and then killed in the last X meh movie?

@aflynn - glad you plinted this out. That UXF arc and run was gr8. Killing the baby Hitler IMO based off reading that UXF arc would NOT be true to Wade's character. For those that did not read that storyline. X-force (led by Logan) encounter the latest incarnation of Apocalypse...as a little boy. The team members including Wade cannot bring themselves to kill this boy, except Fantomex who shoots him dead plint blank, but secretly cloned him from. And Wade later becomes a surrogate uncle to cloned kid Apocalypse and helps him get into Xaviers school. More of a nurture instead of nature belief on Wade's part.

I really want to see footage of the meeting where they argued about whether or not to put this in. Probably was pretty hilarious
