A Deadpool movie has been in development for the long time. Thanks to some recent news, Deadpool could finally see some light and have his movie out of development hell. Deadpool has been on the big screen before. Many fanboys want to forget it but he was in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Ryan Reynolds played Wade Wilson and Scott Adkins played Deadpool. It sucked let’s just leave it at that. Deadpool needs movie redemption and it looks like he may get it. Here are 5 things that need to be in the Deadpool movie.

1. Make A DEADPOOL Movie

Let me explain what I mean. I don’t wait a character called Deadpool who has similar features to Deadpool that is toned down so everyone can see it and is relatable to audiences. I don’t want to see that movie. I want to see Deadpool. I want the chimichanga loving, twisted minded, funny, cold blooded, killing machine we all know and love. Deadpool shouldn’t be relatable. Just because he isn’t related doesn’t mean less people will see it.

2. Make The Movie Rated R, A Hard R

If you’re going to make a Deadpool movie and tone it down for a PG-13 rating, you’re going to have a bad time. You can’t tone down Deadpool. The violence in this movie needs to something like it’s out of a Quentin Tarantino movie. This needs to be one of those R rated movies where teenagers and kids are trying to figure out ways how to sneak in and see this movie. Deadpool needs to have people’s arms and legs being cut off in this movie. The humor needs to be something that people can laugh at and some dark humor in the film. Also NO 3-D!!! Deadpool shouldn’t be in 3-D. 3-D films first off need to die. Deadpool needs to showcase guts, blood, and gore. I’m not saying I want this film to just be Deadpool killing dudes with no substance but this is what Deadpool is.

3. Ryan Reynolds To Be Deadpool

Ryan Reynolds hasn’t had a lot of luck in superhero movies. The first superhero movie Reynolds was in was Blade: Trinity and that got negative reviews and was considered the worst Blade movie in Blade’s trilogy. His second superhero film was X-Men Origins: Wolverine and it got negative reviews. His third superhero film was Green Lantern and it got negative reviews. Can we really blame Ryan? He wasn’t his fault those films got negative reviews. I haven’t seen Blade: Trinity so I can’t comment on it. We can’t blame him for X-Men Origins: Wolverine since he was basically only in it for 5 minutes as Wade Wilson. Some people will blame him for Green Lantern but I think we all agree that the script sucked. No matter who stars in the film, you can’t make a good movie if the script isn’t good. He was good as Wade Wilson and has expressed staring in a Deadpool movie since March 2005. He has expressed interest to this day and stayed on the project since then. He can be a good Deadpool. There will have been enough time that will have passed by the time a Deadpool movie is out and X-Men Origins: Wolverine was out. Besides if they do the Deadpool we all know and love, it will be completely different from Origins.

4. Deadpool To Know He Is In A Movie

In the comics, Deadpool knows he’s in the comics. Deadpool is a type of character that breaks the fourth wall. This means he knows he’s in a comic, or movie, or video game. Deadpool has always acted this way and you need to include this in the movie. You can change some things about Deadpool but this is one you can’t. It’s been confirmed that the script has Deadpool trying to break the fourth wall. There could be so many jokes Deadpool could do not only knowing he is in a movie but let’s say he saw other superhero movies. Let’s say Deadpool saw X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He could express his dislike on how he was portrayed. Let’s say he saw The Avengers. (I know FOX owns movie rights to Deadpool but come on, you can’t tell me Fox isn’t allowed for Deadpool to comment on Marvel Studios movies) He could express thoughts on DC movies, Ryan Reynolds, and other stuff. The movie needs an equal amount of comedy with the action and violence. Deadpool is probably the only character that can pull this off.

5. In Stan Lee’s Cameo, Deadpool To Reference Stan Lee As Stan

Stan Lee has numerous cameos in Marvel movies. His best cameo is probably from The Amazing Spider-Man. Deadpool is always the character who tries to top everybody. Imagine a scene where Stan Lee is someone who is selling chimichangas. Deadpool goes up to Stan and says “Hey Stan what’s up?” Stan in replies says “Stan? My name is Joseph.” Deadpool says “Yea sure” then winks at the audience. Or a scene where Deadpool goes to meets Stan Lee and a gang of people go to attack Deadpool and Stan and we have Deadpool and Stan beat the living crap out of this group of people. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!!! Stan Lee and Deadpool, teaming up, and kicking the crap out of a group of people. There are so many great scenes one can do for a Stan cameo.

So those are my thoughts on what the film should include. What about you? What do you think should be in the Deadpool movie? Are you excited about it or not? Comment below. Peace.

U forgot the suit...Deadpool has to have his costume in the film and they can CGI his facial/mask expressions like Rorschach's ink blot movements in Watchmen.

U cant say his costume cant work on screen, look at Marvel Studios films, FOX just has to get over being to hesitent at giving their characters the proper costumes from the comics.

I actually thought Ryan Reynolds was hilarious in Blade Trinity - the movie was dumb, but his character was fun. Of course, absolutely NOTHING like the comics, but I didn't read them to begin with, so it worked for me.

So yeah, I've said this before, and S-O-M-E-O-N-E gave a weird reason why my idea wouldn't work, but here goes:

Deadpool needs to be played by a stuntman. Actors are taught by these guys how to move, and 9/10 times, they'll do pretty good, maybe even great, but not AS good as what the instructors teaching them could be... which is a given.

Deadpool may loose the mask a few times in the comics, and of course he'll have to in the movie to show us WHY he needs to keep it on, but seriously - how much of Ryan Reynolds' face are we going to see, and without make-up at that?

Scott Adkins played "Deadpool" more than Ryan Reynolds - and he was SHIRTLESS, which was kind of embarrassing considering you can spot the difference in physique. Obviously that version was godawful - he was a robot/cyborg like the Nemesis from Resident Evil, but everyone behind this movie has promised that'll be scrapped.

So yeah, have a martial-artist play Deadpool, and dub his voice.

And Soto, I love you man, but not seeing the actor's face is not why people wouldn't go see Dredd 3D.

Ray Park could work, but I'm sure he'd demand a pretty penny since he's a celebrity now. But he's a cool guy, I've met him before at Disney (they get him at MGM/Hollywood Studios every now and then to promote their Star Wars area).

No way will it be rated R. Pretty much every comic book film from now on has to be [frick]ing PC for the children and brats to enjoy.

I agree with all your points, especially the Stan Lee cameo :P. And yeah, he needs to be played by a stuntman w/Reynolds doing the voice.

I agree with your list, but as a long time fan I want to add a couple more.
1) His costume is a must. Seeing it in the trailer would immeadiatley give me high hopes and seperate him from barakapool.
2) I want to see Blind Al in this film. Some might not agree with me but it is what it is. She would add some substance and seriousness to the film. It would show just how F'ed up dp really is, especially if they use the box. She also gets inside of DP's head and make him look into himself.
3) Deadpool is not a hero. Make him a merc first and foremost. You can give him a little heart, but keep it to a minimum. If we get multiple movies he can evole into something kinda resembling a hero, but never a true hero. This first movie should be DP at his coldest.
4) I would prefer slayback over T-Ray. Its not a must to have either, but if its one or the other slayback all day. I would love a taskmaster or bullseye cameo, even thoughI know thats not going to happen.
5) He has to sing at some point in the movie. I dont mean spiderman3 singing, but anybody who has read DP knows what im talking about.

A couple of things that are not needed but good none the less.

1) Bea Arthor references.
2) Weasle
3) Syrin, Typhoid Mary, Copycat, or outlaw. A love intrest isnt needed but when Dp has one it makes for a good time. They wouldnt have to concentrate on it but atleast address his girl issues.

If the X-Men did ever happen to go back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe while it's still going, and we haven't seen like 10 Avengers movies already, they would find a way to make an excuse for the absence of mutants. Anyway, won't happen, Fox needs to get some respect for the source, do X-Men 4 with Apocalypse and then Mister Sinister and stop dickriding of Wolverine. [frick]ing ridiculous. Make is [frick]ing team movie, not a Wolverine with his inferior slaves film.

@Deadpoolwithcomicsans that is actually one of the best ideas I've ever heard for part of a Deadpool movie. That'd be the perfect way to do Stan Lee's cameo in the film if he chose to be in it.

Also I think Ryan Reynolds has to be Deadpool in this movie, simply because he would open up the door to so many references that could fuel the comedy in the film. There's so many things they could parody from some of the bad films he's been in, mainly X-Men Origins and Barackapool, but also small references to Green Lantern as well. Plus you can also reference the films that he's sort of gained a following from, particularly Van Wilder. Plus, Ryan's a good looking guy, which opens up more potential humour for when Wade becomes hideously disfigured and how his character could possibly react to that.

Also I think Copycat should be in the film, as Wade's only relative link to normality (being his love interest). Plus her death can spur on the rest of the film, and it could become a revenge flick.

I was also thinking maybe they should slightly tweak his mask, so he's wearing a red mask with eye holes, and black makeup around his eyes, and his eyes are naturally white due to his disfigurement. It'd look pretty much the same as the comics, plus it allows him to display a lot more emotion - particularly psychotic glee at all the people he gets to kill.
