Morena Baccarin And Taylor Schilling Among Those Testing For Lead Female Role In DEADPOOL
The movie that no one ever thought would actually happen is coming together nicely, with a shortlist of actresses now said to be testing for the lead female role in Tim Miller's Deadpool, starring Ryan Reynolds. Who are they and who might they be playing? Hit the jump for details...
It's been a slow week for comic book movie casting news. In fact, it's been dead! It feels somewhat appropriate then that we're finishing things up with some Deadpool (geddit?) news as Deadline has revealed a list of four actresses being eyed for the lead female role in the 2016 movie. 20th Century Fox has apparently made test deals with only a small group of actresses, with four candidates named by the site. Those are Morena Baccarin (Gotham), Taylor Schilling (Orange is the New Black), Crystal Reed (Teen Wolf), and Rebecca Rittenhouse (The Red Band Society). One more might be in the mix, but they don't have a name as of yet. The first two are obviously much bigger names than the latter two, so it's going to be very interesting to see who nabs the part of...we don't know! There's no mention of who they will be possibly playing unfortunately. Based on their relationship in the comics, I'm rooting for Siryn. What do you guys think? Share your thoughts below!
UPDATE: The site adds that Sarah Greene (Vikings) and Jessica De Gouw (Arrow) are being eyed.
