Ryan Reynolds Talks Deadpool, Says Script Is "Perfect"

MTV caught up with Reynolds at CinemaCon where he reiterated that a solo Deadpool will happen with him in the role, and that the script from Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick(which many have already read:) is the one they will be using..

I'm sure like me a lot of you are sick of hearing everyone talk about a Deadpool movie and just want some movement on one! Well, here we have more talk. But Reynolds at least seems to confirm that script problems are not the issue. When a draft of the screen play by Zombieland duo Wernick and Rheese leaked online to high praise from fans, many felt that Fox would go a different direction with it. But it seems that at least some version of that script is the one they are sticking with..



"Worry not, I want it to happen. I just feel like when it does happen, it has to be done the exact right way. I've been a part of it for way, way too long, and it has to be done extremely well."

"There's a lot I could say about it right now, but there are moving parts that I really want to see to fruition and I want to see them happen, so I don't want to get into and put the cart before the horse, so we'll see."

"The script is exactly where I want it to be," he said. "[The script is], tonally speaking, perfect."


I wouldn't hold out much hope of seeing Colossus make an appearance though:) Deadpool goes into production at some point in the next future and will be released some time after that.

They've said that the Deadpool movie will have nothing to do with the Wolverine movie. Its a reboot.

i havent read the script...but ive be reading on here for a long time that it is amazing. a faithful deadpool movie would be awesome. really hopin this is true!

should drop out of RIPD, and do Deadpool or atleast after RIPD should be enough time to find a director...shame Wolverine 2 has more progress than this film when THIS is a film ppl want to see instead of Wolverine 2 (Especially after Aron left)

Wow I keep hearing about how good this movie is going to be yet still no solid proof it will be made. Now I think Ryan Reynolds is a good looking man, but i hope they 95 percent of the movie is deadpools messed up cancer face.

Everyone wants a faithful Deadpool movie. I mean if they're gonna do it, they have to do it right. And...yes, does anyone have that script? I really really want to read it. Script Writer's curiosity feebs.

@ JohnTom88: I know right? I mean even Wade Wilson validates it. -BOOOYAAH! VALIDATION!- He looks like Ryan Reynolds crossed with a Shar-pei. :D But anyway...yeah. Let's hope this thing gets the film rolling soon. I want this movie to happen.
