Benedict Cumberbatch Responds To DOCTOR STRANGE Rumors; 'It Wouldn't Work Out'
After joking during the Penguins of Madagascar panel that he'd like to play Marvel's Sorcerer Supreme, Benedict Cumberbatch talks with MTV about rumors that he's in contention for the role. Check it out!
“As far as I’m aware, even if that was the case, it couldn’t work out because I’m doing a little play called ‘Hamlet’ in London,” Benedict Cumberbatch told MTV of rumors that he's on Marvel's wishlist to play Doctor Strange. “So I don’t think I could even if that was in the cards. It sounds like a fantastic project. It’s a shame if I miss out, but who knows?” Were there ever any talks?
“I couldn’t possibly comment,” he replied. While Cumberbatch is making his San Diego Comic-Con debut for DreamWorks' Penguins of Madagascar and The Hobbit, it's believed Marvel will announce the English actor as Dr. Stephen Strange during its Hall H panel Saturday. What do you think?
