DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Promo Art Features The Title Hero Ready For Action

Promo art from the Marvel Legends packaging for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been revealed, with the spotlight put squarely on the Marvel Cinematic Universe's (former) Sorcerer Supreme.

The first merchandise for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was recently revealed, and those Marvel Legends action figures left us with plenty to discuss. For starters, it appears Stephen Strange will finally be given a new costume, though it's about time considering he's essentially looked the same since making his MCU debut in 2016's Doctor Strange

We don't get a closer look at "Defender Strange" in this promo art (you can check out the figure here), but the sorcerer's current costume is highlighted.

He looks awesome, and we're hoping similar artwork for characters like America Chavez, Master Mordo, and Wong follows. Now the first trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been released, chances are we'll begin to see a lot more from the sequel as we head into 2022.

Unfortunately, the release date was recently pushed back by six weeks, so we'll be waiting a little longer to see the hero in action again after his role in Spider-Man: No Way Home. It looks like the fallout from that movie will be a big part of where Doctor Strange's story goes next, while fans are as excited as ever to better explore the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Multiverse (especially if even half of those rumours about some big cameos prove to be correct).

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released on May 6, 2022.

At least 5 movies next year will make a billion each, book it. Movie theaters are going to come back with a mighty vengeance! 2022 shall rule! My new years resolution is an amc squeeze lmao

@bobevanz - especially now that Saga 2 is in sort of a Phase 2. ‘21 was the prequel we didn’t ask for (no Budapest) and the newbies, UNTIL Spidey 3.3 and now it’s a slew of sequels to popular characters. No offense to Shang Tsung and e-turnips, but now, I’m excited.

Finding Strange more and more likeable with each new appearance. His character growth is easily one of the most interesting among MCU heroes.

@ModHaterSLADE - Absolutely Agree, he was already one of my favorites from the comics but I've loved the way he's being portrayed in the movies, along with his character development and growth. Benedict's doing one hell of a job at it.

Currently stoned and watching Batman Forever for the first time in years. I don’t give a damn what anyone says, this movie is aging perfectly. Wasn’t one of my favorites as a kid … I mean young man, but now that I’m older I’m finding a lot of the humor landing for me and laughing hard at every intentional joke. Not to mention really digging the Batcave in this one. Carrey looks like he’s having a blast with this role and some of his lines might be ones I quote regularly from now on. Not to mention I’m really digging Kilmer in the role on this rewatch. He is a damn good Bruce Wayne/Batman in my opinion. Love when he busts into the helicopter and says “You need help Harvey! Give it up!” That’s SO BATMAN. Still not one of my favorites but I’m having a total blast with it this time around and have a new appreciation for it now. Might honestly dive into more movies I didn’t care for from some years back and see if I like them better knowing what I’m going into this time around. Maybe it’s the weed. Maybe I was going in with my own expectations of what the movie should be instead of going in with an open mind and not making up expectations. Maybe it was a combination of both. All I know is I’m having fun now with a movie I always wish I did when I was younger. On to … Gulp … Batman and Robin next. Gotta toke it up extra for that and go in expecting a slapstick comedy and 60’s Batman homage.

Dr strange was definitely the standout in IW.

Whereas in his own solo movie he was a little lacking.

Also, I guess we’ll never see the yellow gloves again.

Man i hope we get something more creative than just those damn portals, so sick of seeing them. And they need to stop with the cut paste inverted city trick it was cute 5 years ago but i was hoping they would go more creative there.

Just some small pet peeves.

@Typhoon20 - I am ok with portals but they are used too frequently... the inverted city trick "mirror dimension" is very 'old' and should be used sparingly as well... Wong warned about using certain spells in NWH and IMO due to Strange being so powerful all of his spells should have limited use due to consequences when used too much.

Remember one of the rumors for this movie was that Strange would get the gloves back? That was probably before Raimi took over.
