The first merchandise for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was recently revealed, and those Marvel Legends action figures left us with plenty to discuss. For starters, it appears Stephen Strange will finally be given a new costume, though it's about time considering he's essentially looked the same since making his MCU debut in 2016's Doctor Strange.
We don't get a closer look at "Defender Strange" in this promo art (you can check out the figure here), but the sorcerer's current costume is highlighted.
He looks awesome, and we're hoping similar artwork for characters like America Chavez, Master Mordo, and Wong follows. Now the first trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been released, chances are we'll begin to see a lot more from the sequel as we head into 2022.
Unfortunately, the release date was recently pushed back by six weeks, so we'll be waiting a little longer to see the hero in action again after his role in Spider-Man: No Way Home. It looks like the fallout from that movie will be a big part of where Doctor Strange's story goes next, while fans are as excited as ever to better explore the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Multiverse (especially if even half of those rumours about some big cameos prove to be correct).
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released on May 6, 2022.
