Over the past few years, we've seen a lot of speedsters brought to the big screen. Quicksilver had his fair share of memorable moments in both the X-Men and Avengers franchises, while The Flash managed to race through time itself in Zack Snyder's Justice League. In Eternals, we meet Makkari, a character who definitely gives the Fastest Man Alive a run for his money.
Who is quicker? That's something fans have been debating for a few days now, especially as we see Makkari race across the globe in a matter of seconds!
During a recent interview with CineXpress, Eternals star Lauren Ridloff weighed in on which speedster is fastest. "Okay, so this is a conversation I had with my son. When he first found out that I was going to be the fastest woman in the universe he said, 'No you're not.' He brought over his laptop and looked into the computer and said, 'Look! It's true! Flash is faster than Makkari.'"
"But I'm sure [it's] Makkari," Ridloff adds, "because she travels faster than the speed of sound."
Makkari definitely appears to be faster than The Flash, and is a far more formidable fighter. We'd like to throw Evan Peters' Quicksilver into the mix seeing as time essentially stops when he speeds up, though we don't think Aaron Taylor-Johnson's version would pose much of a threat to any of them!
Eternals is now playing in theaters. Watch our interview with Druig actor Barry Keoghan below:
