Batman Reboot Fan-Cast

With the Christopher Nolan adaptions at an end, there is talks of a potential reboot at hand for our Caped Crusader, Batman. Here are my picks on who should play who on the inevitable reboot in the near future.

Matt Bomer as Bruce Wayne/ Batman

I think Matt Bomer would be an amazing Bruce Wayne/ Batman because he has the 'swag' that a rich billionaire has. If you have seen him in the show 'White Collar', you know he could definitely pull off a Bruce Wayne.

John Hurt as Alfred Pennyworth

John Hurt has the charisma and a father-like figure to him, which is what Alfred has. He would be great with Matt.

Denzel Washington as Lucius Fox

Lucius is a hard working man and so is Denzel, he would be perfect because he could bring a certain grittiness to the role along with characteristics of a good friend to Bruce.

Bryan Cranston as Commissioner Gordon

If you saw this man in Breaking Bad, you KNOW he can pull off anything, especially a special relationship towards Batman.

Maggie Grace as Vicki Vale

Maggie Grace has the look, the charm, and the means of getting anything she wants, just like Vicki Vale. She could play a great love interest also to Bruce Wayne.

David Tennant as Edward Nigma/ The Riddler

David Tennant can definitely pull off the cooky, zany, messed up guy that everyone knows the Riddler is. He could bring a new sort of feel to the character, just like Heath Ledger brought to the Joker.

Ray Winstone as Oswald Cobblepot/ The Penguin

Ray Winstone looks and seems like The Penguin. A ruthless guy who is out to get what he wants.

Kevin Spacey as Hugo Strange

If you saw Kevin Spacey in Se7en, you know he could play a messed up character again, especially since both characters are similar in a way.

Thank you very much. I figured that since might be a 'directly into his career' Batman film, we could have more villains or even cameos. I felt that the three villains I chose would be good for a FIRST film, and even the sequels. If I think of more characters that could be playable by certain actors I will add them later. Matt Bomer is amazing!

...Good Feedback?

Good actors!

Man, I'm glad this wasn't another
NOLAN-CAST!

But where is the writing?

You have to have writing if it's an article on CBM.
Pictures is not an article.

No character-actor info at all.

Why do you want these particular actors?

I'm not so sure about Bomer as Batman. He is a good actor and all, he has that rich Billionaire playboy look too, but he isn't that brooding or intimidating despite being in pretty decent shape. I see him more of Superman type superhero than and scary menacing vigilante like Batman That's just me though. Good cast tho. Like your Vicki Vale pick!

Ahh well everyone has their different choices. And I thought Vicki Vale was the 3rd best pick after Bryan as Gordon and Matt as Bruce

Tom Hardy as Harvey Bullock

Matthew Fox as Hush

TheBatman1- Haha, that's awesome!

TheLoveDoc- I think Tom Hardy should stay in Nolan-Verse. Bring in Michael Chiklis for Harvey if that's the case. IDK much about Hush so I can't say if Matthew Fox would be good.

THis an excellent cast! Great job! The only one I'm not a fan of is Spacey as Strange. Just doesn't work for me. I'm not even a Doctor Who fan and I like Tennant for Riddler!

If this was for a TV series it would be decent but not a huge WB movie franchise. Big movies need movie stars, not tv actors. Denzel and Spacey are good choices but you need the likes as Seymor Hoffman as the Penguin, Jude Law as the Riddler, Jason Statham as Victor Zsasz, Kate Beckinsale as Catwoman, and of course a bona fide movie actor as Batman. A USA network star wouldn't go over that well with movie fans/media.

Woah! I had Matt Bomer, Bryan Cranston and Ray Winstone picked out for those exact same roles! I said Michael Fassbender for Mr. Freeze, Sam Rockwell for the Riddler, Ben Foster or Josh Stewart (I know Josh was already in TDKR) for the Joker. Aaron Paul as the Scarecrow, Olivia Wilde as Catwoman. Nice list guys, I can totally get behind some of the others too!

Pretty good. Not very original, but good nonetheless. I will always hate Matt Bomer for Bats. Dude's gay. Nothing wrong with that, but he's quite feminine and Batman is the man's man of comics. There are other CBM roles out there for Bomer. Anyway, The one that sticks out to me is Maggie Grace as Vicki Vale. I can dig that.

That's awesome how we had some of the same cast. I don't see Fassbender as Freeze at all (and I don't see why everyone chooses him to be in every movie either). I think the Joker should stay back for a while as people will just compare whoever the new actor is to Heath Ledger (who did good but not as god as everyone makes him out to be). The ScareCrow should also be left out since he was already in BB and cameos in DK and DKR.

BigeBigzWells, I was just putting actors to as many characters as I could :) I agree with you, they shouldn't try to recast some of the rolls such as the Joker or Scarecrow though, I was simply putting actors with characters. You really don't see Fassbender as Freeze? He is the only one I would really spring for! He seems perfect for the roll, in my eyes anyway! Cool to see that someone has at least some of the same ideas as me :) I think Rockwell could do an awesome job as the Riddler.... He is good at playing arrogant and evil characters.
