Garrett Hedlund has apparently been confirmed for the main role of Shotaro Kaneda, and though there hasn't been any official image of him as the character at all, I managed to make a manip of it. Hedlund's head was taken from an image of his from
Eragon, and that's the best I could find to fit Kaneda's appearance (actually, I remember seeing an image of him with a hair style even more similar to Kaneda's some times before, but this time I didn't manage to find it). The body is actually a random cosplayer's I found on Google, which I though was the best representation of Kaneda's costume in real life I've ever seen so far, so I decided to put Hedlund's head on it, and the one you see in the poster is the final stuff. Kaneda's bike on the background is a real motorcycle named
Tomahawk or something (I didn't put much attention on the name when I found the image), which many fans are favoring to be made Kaneda's bike in the upcoming adaptation. The red paint of the bike is by me, though.
Images are from various sources brought together by Google. The tagline is actually taken from the original movie (I had to change the font though, since the font used in the original posters,
Square721 BT, has mysteriously gone missing from my PC) while I'm not yet sure about the release year below. But I hope you enjoy this, as I'm planning to make more variations of this version later. And of course, comments and feedbacks are greatly appreciated!
