Seeing how The Dark Knight Rises will be Christopher Nolan's last Batman film and the track-record of how the last Batman film series went, it's only a matter of time for a new Schumacher to flush The Caped Crusader down the drains. Next several years will pass and a reboot will occur. The following is my idea of what a new film series should consist of.
CO-DIRECTOR:
Note the "CO" in "CO-DIRECTOR". My idea would to have two directors for this film, both would bring new life into the franchise that no one has before. My choice for the first co-director is Clint Eastwood.
Not only was Gran Torino an awesome film, but it was also one of the most dramatic and emotional films I have ever seen. Clint Eastwood would bring the heartbreaking tragedies in Bruce's life and the failures of Batman to the viewers like no one has ever been able to.
CO-DIRECTOR:
"Now why does there need to be a second director? Who could bring something to the table that matches Clint Eastwood's skill?" Oh, I don't know...Quentin Tarantino!
Name one bad film he's directed. Come on, I'll wait...see what I mean? Now as much as I loved Grindhouse, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Inglorious Basterds, it was Kill Bill that made me choose Tarantino, I freaking loved Kill Bill! Say all you want about Tarantino's ego but you have to admit, he knows how to direct. The fight scenes in Kill Bill blew my face off and I would love to see that kind of choreography with Batman.
PLOT:
Major plot points the series would be based off of:
•Origin of Batman
•Origin of Robin (Dick Grayson)
•Origin of Nightwing/Robin (Jason Todd)
•Death in the Family
•No Man's Land Saga
•Under the Hood
•Batman & Son
•Batman R.I.P.
•Batman: Battle for the Cowl
•Bruce Wayne: The Road Home
Since that is out of the way now we can get to the cast...next time!
