FAN FIC: Clues to TDKR!

Clues to The Dark Knight Rises? Well, yes. You probably watched BB and TDK a hundred times but the clues are right under your nose – what could just happen in TDKR! Just like the flash image moment to reveal Leonard in the hospital not Mrs. Jankis in Memento.

Let’s begin.
Watching the elements from both films you can see that the story will begin on a high then go down to a low then perpetuate into the high ending climax.

Pain IS Bain. Bain IS Pain.

There are many similarities which occur in both films, here are some events that will and may occur in TDKR

1. Someone dies without Batman’s help; he doesn’t save Ra Al Gaul and Harvey Dent. Hence too much gas (into the body) or no gas (Bain is unable to stop the pain from the injuries and eventually bleeds to death) Batman removes the pipes that enable Bain, knowing its Batman’s last resort to stopping Bain and hence in effect killing him.

2. Someone will die – Fox /and or Talia. The loss in one true love Rachael. Bain will lose Talia. Fox may leave due to Batman breaking Fox’s ethics which Batman needs to be Batman. The sonar device, Fox was against it, this may cause them to split. Batman asking too much from Fox – The Bat Wing. Scarecrow will return - hat trick.

3. HOW the plot/story unfolds.
The story will be dramatic in the beginning.
(The following is also on YouTube)
Judging from the suit and background, the film will begin from the end of TDK. Batman is weak, escaping. Bain traps the weaken Batman and from the fight Bain breaks his back. This is the dramatic opening to the film.
Now we go into a slow start, why and who is Bain. He comes out of nowhere at the start of the film and breaks Batman and we don’t know why.

The film now goes into the origin of Bain. The children Bain and Talia, are like that of Bruce and Rachael, something happens – a fire, Bain falls into a firry hole, but rises, then is fathered by another man – Ra’s (Bruce had Alfred – the similarities people!) . Bain goes on a journey of who he is and what his destiny is – to destroy GOTHAM. The plane sequence then occurs.

NOW eight years later. Judging from the previews and images, Bruce is on the mend, walking stick, physically he getting better, but it’s his spirit that Bain broke, thus the film is Bruce becoming Batman again more mentally than physically, hence the jail training and then the RISE (“What’s that?” “Rise!”) to be Batman again, the boy rising from the tunnel (by his father) the uprising of Bain being the leader of chaos. Then the final climatic battle.

4. The story always ends with Commissioner Gordon and Batman saying something to one another. Then Batman will recede into the night on the BAT or some majestic way.

5. Bain is not alone. Bruce has many in his corner – Alfred (patch me up), love interest Cat woman, Fox (who may or may not be around for long).
Bain’s has – a cop to watch his back (Joseph) don’t trust him Bruce- he’s the guy in white that shoots Batman in the fight with Bain, love interest Talia, Scientist (who builds the weapons of mass destruction) Fox like character.

6. Wish ONLY. If Batman were to die it would be EPIC - GREAT, but judging by the material, audience and story arc it won’t happen. But it would go down in history and never be forgotten that a hero / dies and doesn’t go home. This maybe Nolan’s mark or twist in the story (killing Bruce/Batman or both) which may leave you guessing – DID BATMAN DIE AT THE END OF THE MOVIE OR NOT?

This will be a trip for fans, cause outrage, continuous viewing, and debate which in the end is brilliance, that no one saw coming. You can’t kill Batman. Can you?

Bain’s story arc will be the same as Batman’s but from a villainous poor child view. Hence Bruce is rich and Bain is poor. They will be on the polar opposites, one wanting to destroy the city and rule while the other saves and protects.

Their childhoods will be the same but on the opposite spectrum, the loss of parents – the scars will be one physical BAIN (in a fire which cause him pain – which then uses gas to relieve the pain and make him invulnerable) and the other mental BRUCE (strong rage but a weak boy within fighting to prove he can make a difference by being invulnerable as a unknown force, an idea). Both seek guidance to their redeeming losses one choosing revenge the other choosing redemption. Guidance by one man – Ra’s Al Gaul.

Bruce follows his true father – who is died, Bain follows Ra’s – but may follow the kind words from Bruce.

Batman covers his eyes, Bain covers his mouth. Bain is physical (man of terror – terrorist) and calculating. Bruce is physical yet the embodiment of a animal (which can fly) and scare the mind- supernatural, spiritual, an idea.
Bain will believe that he won, breaking the man. Thinking Bruce is just a man.

Bruce is not just a man, but that his true self – the one that cannot be broken is Batman. Bain is just a man.
Hence Bruce/Batman will win, (as a man I can be broken, but as an idea I can be everlasting.) Its Bruce’s thinking of others that transcend him – giving himself no fear and complete power to overcome any odds.
This is where Bain will fail, he thinks of himself and only of the plan.

Well that’s it folk, prove me wrong. Be gentle, I’m a virgin and it my first time writing a piece.

First off, probably shouldn't have a huge spoiler like that in your title teaser, just saying...

Second, it's Bane, not Bain.

Third, your theories pretty much follow what has been speculated before. However, I do agree with much of it, such as the whole idea that Bane breaks Batman's back in the beginning, which is why it takes eight years for him to come back. It's an interesting theory and I would like to see how it plays out.

I still say that Bane WILL NOT break Batman's back. I say the cane will be from either a fight with him, the injury from movie 2 or the scene from the trailer where it looks like he'e jumping from a hospital. But him returning after 8 years I think would be from him hiding and no longer is Batman for so long.

The 8 year gap is not the time it takes for Bruce to heal from Bane's injuries. Nolan has already described why the 8 year gap exsist. Because Batman made the huge sacrifice at the end of TDK there had to be a payoff for that. Gotham experiences 8 years of peace. However that peace is based on a lie. The fact that Harvey Dent is not the hero he was made out to be puts Gotham's "peace time" on whacky ground. Bane comes in a reveals the truth to Gotham and tells them to take back their city from the wealthy who have everything while the poor continue to suffer. Bane then injures Batman and puts him in some kind of prison along with the rest of the wealthy people. The people in Gotham probably think that Batman is dead at this point and there for when he escapes the prison and returns, he appears to "rise" from the dead... The 8 year gap part is from Nolan's own words. The rest is just speculation.

Good theories, but I honestly think we look too deep into these movies and tying everything together. If you look at BB and TDR sure they used the same characters and similar elements, but overall the stories were alot different. I don't think it will be a gurantee that they are all this closely related although we do know Ras Al Guhl is involved.
