Indiana Jones 5: How It Should be Done and Proper Casting

Indiana Jones 4 was terrible, if they do a sequel this is how it should be done.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was undeniably terrible. And honestly if they're smart they won't do another. However this is how I think a proper sequel would go.

1) Be relative to Harrison Ford's age. Treat him like Sean Connery in the Last Crusade. With Mutt (so to speak) doing the heavy lifting. Which brings me to my next point:

2) Recast and rename Mutt. Have him demand to be called Henry or something, and Indy insists on calling him junior. See below for the recast.

3) It should be 25% of Harrison/Mutt. More of a narrative for a flashback to during the war on one of Indy's adventures.

4) It should be 75% the adventure in the war. This is Indy in his freaking prime. Fighting Nazis and stealing their s**t. This is what everyone loves and wants to see. This can't be Harrison though he's much too old. See for below for the recast.

Recast

Marian-Mila Kunis (during wartime)

Let's face it, she has the feel that the original Marian did.

Marian-Original (during Harrison's time).

OldMarion

Older Indy - Harrison Ford

of course

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL

Mutt/Henry - Joseph Gordan Levitt

I think he could take the character in a much different direction than Shia, which is a good thing.

or this:

Leonardo Dicaprio and Joseph Gordon-Levitt

and for the big recast:

Young Indy - Michael Fassbender

He could nail this role. (X-Men First Class bar fight, anyone?)

I like anyone other than Leboof. I love Indy movies so I'd watch any old crud they through on the screen. But, it needs a reboot.

Crystal Skull wasn't that bad until the end. except for Shia's acting. Indy's kid isn't a whiner.

Indy, Marion, and Salah- the original "Raiders" team versus the Russians or Chinese. No Mutt.

And for the love of God--- go back to artifacts either from a religious, spiritual world or a mythological world. No more aliens or stupid B-movie horror ideas. Just classic Indiana Jones-type stuff.

HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE:

1. There is NO Indy other than Ford. Period.
2. Focus on Indy
3. Keep Mutt (the character) AND Shia (the actor) far away from this film
4. Bring back Sallah
5. Limit Lucas' "creative contributions" as much as possible.
6. NO CGI!!!

1) don't let Lucas write the [frick]ing thing. guy hasn't written anything worth a shit in decades. in fact don't let him have any creative say at all.

2) kill Mutt or send him away. i don't care just dump his ass from this franchise

3) no [frick]ING ALIENS

4) minimal CGI. go back to the practical and straight up awesome effects of the first 3.

5) the name of the movie is Indiana Jones and the .../ so with that in mind. focus on Indy only.

6) return to the original premise of the religious and spiritual artifacts.

The fourth one killed the future of Indiana Jones. Fifth isnt going to work as long as this... Mutt is in the picture.
Seriously who the [frick] named Indiana Jones son as Mutt?!:/

Go back to Indy´s early adventures. When he was fighting against nazis and evil cults. And bring back Ford as Indy.
Who cares if he is old!... Okey i care!

I cant believe i say this but recast the role. With someone unbelievably great actor. Maybe but in a cameo of Ford as old Indy/the narrator or something.

Better again... just leave the character alone!;)

I agree with most everyone, no ALIENS. take it back to supernatural. Mutt is established, they just need to reinvent the character, different name, personality, actor, etc. and keep it physical w/ NO cgi. all real special effects, it is Indiana Jones after all.
