The Black Panther (T'Challa) is a fictional character appearing in publications by Marvel Comics. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and penciller-co-plotter Jack Kirby, he first appeared in Fantastic Four #52 (July 1966). He is the first black superhero in mainstream American comics, debuting several years before such early African-American superheroes as Marvel Comics' the Falcon and Luke Cage, and DC Comics' Tyroc, Black Lightning and Green Lantern John Stewart.

NOTE: My MCU pretends like they're has never been a cbm outside of this and my previous fan cast in my MCU. If any actor in here is already playing a role of a cbm character in real life do not complain.

Plot: Deep in the heart of Africa is Wakanda, a technologically advanced civilization of great power and mystery. During the last ten centuries, Wakanda has stood alone as an unconquerable land inhabited by undefeatable warriors. Governing this nation is a lineage of warrior-kings possessing enhanced speed, strength and agility. Today, T'Challa is the latest in this famed family line, the great hero known worldwide as the Black Panther.

Now, outsides are once more assembling to invade Wakanda and plunder its riches. Leading this brutal assault is Klaw, a deadly assassin with the blood of T'Challa's murdered father on his hands, who brings with a powerful army of super-powered mercenaries. Even with Wakanda's might and his own superhuman skills, can the Black Panther prevail against such a massive invading force?

ABOUT THE MOVIE

Tone

I feel the tone should be the same as the Dark Knight trilogy. Black Panther should be dark. His name is associated with Dark so we shouldn’t try to make it another Avengers tone wise. I’m not saying it has to have grey tones in everything. The Wakandan nation itself should be visually better than Avengers, but the character and the action and the plot itself should be dark.

Wakanda

Wakanda should VERY advance. Not just in technology. In the story arc this movie is based off of they mention them having the cure to cancer. This proves Wakanda is ahead of us in everything. It should look futuristic, but not cars flying around. Maybe the cars only hover a few feet off of the ground. No fossil fuels they are completely green. They are what we want America to be.

Director

Reginald Hudlin or Antoine Fuqua are my choices for director. Reginald Hudlin because he wrote 48 issues of Black Panther from 2005-2009 and he is a director. He was producer of Django Unchained and directed several films. He used to be president of Entertainment at BET and produces a LOT of movies. He has connections all over black Hollywood and this film HAS to market to black audiences. He also has a love for BP and knows how to portray him well.
I chose Antoine Fuqua because he is a very talented director. He is American; you might have thought I chose him because he was African. “Fuqua is a very skilled director that has some of the best camera work and fast paste editing on screen. He is also known for shooting his films in bona fide locations of the script for a realist appearance. Case in point Training Day & Brooklyn’s Finest, were all filmed in real crime-laced neighborhoods for authenticity. If considered, Marvel would have to allow a strong PG-13 rating because of the director’s gritty taste in the action genre. Nonetheless, Fuqua can deliver some hard-boiled intense action sequences in an authentic location for the Black Panther film.

Writer

Reginald Hudlin is my choice for writer. He did write the story arc I’ve based this off and has experience with movies.

Suit

I’d like the suit to look like this. It has a more modern look. Kind of TDK-esque, but it will work. The one on the left is for Shuri, but she does not appear as Black Panther in this movie. I think that there should maybe be some tribal things added also.

Music

I feel that the movie should be a mix of cinematic, tribal, and rap music. I think K’Naan the Somali rapper should make a track special for the movie. It doesn’t have to necessarily be directly about Black Panther, but it should reflect the movie in some way.

FANCAST

Chadwick Boseman would be THE BEST Black Panther. If you’ve seen 42 you know I’m completely right. He is an awesome actor and fits T’Challa’s character PERFECTLY

Others Considered:
none

I think that Mads Mikkelsen would make a great Klaw. He has the right look and feel needed for Klaw.

Others Considered:
Vincent Cassel

Black Knight goes on the journey to conquer Wakanda to bring Christianity to the Nation and get rid of their Panther religion. I hose Richard Madden because I like him on Game of Thrones and his character reflects what I want Black Knight to be like in the movie

Others:
Ben Barnes

I think Adewale would make an awesome T’Challa. Since he died in 1993 in this movie he could be younger than my choice for his wife Ramonda. Adewale has shown interest in playing the Panther, but I feel he is too old now.

Others Considered:
Nate Parker

I think Angel Basset would make a great Ramonda. Basset is a very talented actress and could play the worried mother character Ramonda is. I’d like Ramonda to have a bigger part than she does in the comic.

Others Considered:
none

Djimon Honsou would make a great S’Yan. He wanted to play Black Panther, and he gets to…just not T’Challa. Like Adewale I think he’s a little old to take on a franchise. He’s not old; he’s just old for the character.

Others Considered:
none

Naturi Naughton is a great actress. She could definitely play young curious Shuri.

Others Considered:
KeKe Palmer

Mos Def is a great actor and he bears a resemblance to W’Kabi.

Others Considered:
none

DeStorm isn’t an official actor, but he has done acting that convinces me to choose him as T’Shan. T’Shan doesn’t have a huge role, but he helps develop a lot of other people’s character while developing his own. DeStorm has the swag and I think he could pull of the anger T’Shan needs.

Others Considered:
Nate Parker

I think James Earl Jones would be an AMAZING Panther God. He’s already played a wise cat. Tell me his voice is

Others Considered
NONE

After Credits Scene

T’Challa sits in his room and watches the news. The reporter says
“Breaking News, there has been a theft at Stark Industries, one of the most technologically advanced facilities in the world.”
Flash back to the battle between Klaw and T’Challa
Klaw says “We at A.I.M must have all of the BEST technology.”
Flash back ends.
T’Challa says “…Oh No…”

This sounds great!! The one thing I would change is the time. It doesn't need to be as dark as the Dark Knight Trilogy. I think it should be as dark as the Amazing Spider-Man. A Black Panther movie needs to happen.

Pretty nice cast, and Antoine Fuqua would be a fine choice for the role... I'm admittedly not too knowledgable with the character, but have a definite interest in him... Anyway, just a few things I wanna say;
- Boseman, clearly is a talented actor but to me he comes of a bit too young for the role, I personally would like an actor who looks like he's in his late 20's/early 30's
- Mikklesen seems very appropriate for Klaw, but I personally want him for Red Skull, though it has to be said with the picture you posted there is an uncanny resmeblance...
- Madden is a solid choice for the role, but again comes off a bit young; James Purefoy played a slighlty similar character in Solomon Kane, so I think he'd be a worthy contender for it
- Adewale is a great addition to any cast, but since The Mummy Returns (yes very old now lol) I love him in villainous roles, he's badass and just great in them

Anyway, forgetting my gripes solid cast, if the actual movie cast shapes up like this I'd definitely give it a look... Still hope you can check out my Green Lantern cast;

I know little of Black Panther, but the cast is very promising. Having a big star like Angela Bassett works wonders.

By the way, I have a brand new cast you need to check out. It's a live-action version of a Seth Green creation known as Titan Maximum. You may need to watch a few episodes before you can fully understand the article. But there's a great list of songsthat should be on the soundtrack that you should see.

I like your ideas but it shouldn't resemble Batman too much.

Quite good actors here!
But BLACK PANTHER is not "DARK" like NOLAN'S DARK KNIGHT
just because he has "BLACK" in his name and is from the
"DARK" continent.

His name is taken from the "BLACK PANTHER" animal so I
don't think it should have anything to do with the race
of the aboriginal peoples there either.

WAKANDA is an enlightened nation, socially and
technologically-advanced!

They are a reclusive type people because they don't
want the evil outside world to use their advancement
for evil purposes, not even their own neighboring
NATIVE-AFRICANS.

It's not anything to do with "DARKNESS"! It's all about
enlightenment and "THE LIGHT"!

T'CHALLA does not act from darkness, he acts from
enlightenment!
So how could the BLACK PANTHER have a 'DARK" theme!

Hell, not even BATMAN is as "DARK" as the DARK KNIGHT
movies. NOLAN went too dark and warped people's
perception of BATMAN. BATMAN won't kill and despises
anyone who does! He attacks bad guys at night from
the darkness but he doesn't execute them. He
leaves them for the authorities to deal with.
BATMAN is about JUSTICE!

BLACK PANTHER has NOTHING to do with DARKNESS!
This "DARK" thing has gotten out of control!
RIDICULOUS!!!!!!

Thanks for citing my quote!

I see what the big commotion is with "Black" being associated with "Dark". You didn't necessarily mean that Black Panther needs to be dark because of the name/title alone. You meant that it should be a gritty action flick because that's what matches with a project like this and that's the serious trend now. Then you just made a comparison with the Dark Knight series ;^). For a project like this, how else should the tone be set guys? Yes I'll agree to some extent with @DDD (good to hear from you man), TDK is ridiculously dark but Black Panther shouldn't be set to that level (surpasses gritty). Dark, yes. Ridiculously dark, no. Nevertheless good article!
