For the longest time, I have been a HUGE fan of Wolverine. I've seen him fight the Hulk, get adamantium put into his body(and also pulled out), and then I got to see his Origins and much, much more. WHAT A RIDE SO FAR! Needless to say, when Old Man Logan came out, I was so excited to see a much different chapter in the life of my favorite superhero. I have been fantasizing about who should play him for a while now and I wanted to just put this out there.....
MEL GIBSON
Just watch him in movies like "The Patriot", "Braveheart", and "We Were Soldiers". He was born to play Old Man Logan. He's not just some buffed up action star that couldn't act his way out of a paper sack. This guy CAN ACT. In my humble opinion, he's one of the greatest actors in my generation. If you have read the Old Man Logan storyline, you can see the different emotions that Wolverine portrays. All the 'scruffiness', fierceness, and despair that Logan shows is what Mel Gibson excels at! Yes, he may have had some trouble in his personal life, but nobody's perfect, right? (Except for Tim Tebow, of course. GO BRONCOS!) Ahem, anyways, I don’t have photoshop YET, so while I was at work, I decided to throw these "works of art"(lol) together and present them to my favorite website! THIS IS AN UPDATED VERSION OF MY LAST FAN-CAST. THIS NEW FAN-CAST HAS MOST OF THE CHARACTERS FROM THE STORY. ENJOY.
Old Man Logan = Mel Gibson
Maureen(Logan’s Wife) = Robin Wright
I think she looks the part and has the maturity that an actress needs to portray Logan’s wife.
Hawkeye = Harrison Ford
For anybody who has seen the this guy play Han Solo in the Star Wars series, you know why this guy is a perfect fit for Clint Barton. He’s a great actor and has the right personality for this role.
Tonya Barton = L. Scott Caldwell
This is a small role, but I thought it needed a strong actress to play Tonya. I loved her in LOST, and thought she would be good for this role.
Ashley Barton(Spider-Bitch) = Rihanna
I know, I know. I’m probably gonna catch some flak for this, but whatever. She has the look and the “better than you” attitude that I think this character needs.
Kingpin = Ving Rhames
Need I say more?
Daredevil = Chris Pine
and
Punisher? = Alexander Skarsgard
I know that these characters have a very small part, but I wanted the audience to see the actors and feel extremely sorry for them when they get eaten by Dinosaurs.
Emma Frost = Sarah Michelle Gellar
Emma is old in this story, but she makes herself look young and beautiful by using her powers. I think Gellar would do a fantastic job at portraying this ‘high and mighty’ character.
Black Bolt = Ben Kingsley
Once again, small part, big actor. Why not?!
Tobias = Bruce McGill
This guy is a great actor and has the look and acting chops to do this kind of role.
Old Man Donovan = Robert Duvall
I’m sorry that I couldn’t find a picture of Donovan from the comic. However, Robert Duvall would be great for this character. Maybe throw him in the story at the beginning. Kind of a “I’ll check in on yer family while yer gone.” type of thing to get a history going, and then bring him in at the end like in the book.
Bruce Banner/HULK = James Cromwell
Wow. Just look at the guy. He looks just like the character in the book, he’s a great actor, AND he kinda looks like an older Ed Norton!
FLASHBACK TIME!
For the flashback to Logan’s past, I would like to see a big epic bloody fight between Logan and the bad guys(or who he THINKS are the bad guys). THEN, I would like to actually see him killing all of the X-MEN. This would allow screen time for the baddies AND the heroes. These are my picks for that scene.
Christian Kane = Younger Wolverine
I think Kane would make a great Wolverine. I’m not sure if he has the acting skills needed to portray the heartbreak and despair that Logan has after he kills everyone, but he might do the job.
THE BADDIES
Dr. Octopus = Alfred Molina
I think he did a good job in Spiderman 2. If he could just be evil in this one and not have a heart, he’ll be great!
Blob = Kevin Durand
Bring on a more serious portrayal than he had in ‘Origins’ and he would be perfect.
Sabretooth = Batista
This guy has the build and the face structure to make an AWESOME Sabretooth! No Oscar winning performance needed for this character and scene.
Omega Red = Dolph Lundgren
This guy would just be perfect for this role. Nuff said.
Mysterio = Bruce Campbell
It was rumored that he would play Mysterio in Spiderman 4, I think. Nonetheless, I think he has the overacting skills needed to portray this character.
Bullseye = Ben Foster
This guy can play just about anything. I think he would excel in this role.
Scorpion = Jason Statham
I figured since this was a Fantasy Cast, I have an infinite budget. Voila, Jason Statham!
Green Goblin = Hank Azaria
This guy has a great look to him. He has a great muscular build too. For such a short scene, I think he would be great.
Sinister = David Boreanaz
He has the build, the look, and I think he would do a good job.
Lady Deathstrike = Lucy Liu
Lucy Liu is evil. Lady Deathstrike is evil. PERFECT!
THE HEROES
Cyclops = Matthew Fox
I’m a huge LOST fan! (Can you tell?) I think the X-Men in this scene need to be adults. NOT OLD, just NOT TEENS. So I’m going with more mature actors in this scene. Matthew Fox would be awesome.
Jean Grey = Kate Winslet
She has the look, the hair, the acting chops. Need I say more?
Storm = Zoe Saldana
I’ve gotta crush on Zoe so BAM! She’s Storm!
Beast = Kelsey Grammar
I thought he was a perfect Beast in X-Men 3. He was just WAY underused! Here’s another 5 minutes of screen time for him.
Gambit = Josh Holloway
If you don’t know why I picked Josh for this role, I don’t know what to tell ya.
Jubilee = Jamie Chung
Young, Asian, beautiful, Jubilation Lee
Nightcrawler = Jim Sturgess
Love this guy. He has the build, look and acting skills for this role.
RED SKULLS FLASHBACK
Red Skull = Mads Mikkelsen
I know that Red Skull is much older in this book, but I don’t think that we need a much older actor to play him. His face is covered with movie make-up for goodness sakes! He would be perfect!
Captain America = Mark Valley
A majority of you liked him for Captain America. I was in that majority. NOTHING against Chris Evans! I just think that 1. it’s a short scene, and 2. Cap’s a little older in this scene. Mark Valley all the way.
WELL? WHAT DO YA THINK? FEEL FREE TO COMMENT!!!!!
