Nick56's JAMES BOND Fan-Cast

Nick56's JAMES BOND Fan-Cast

I fan-cast my dream James Bond 007 film. Check it out!

***Often when a new Bond is selected some actors are carried over (e.g. Judi Dench was M for both Brosnan and Craig), however this fan-cast will act as a complete fresh start.***

The Director: Christopher Nolan

It is without any doubt that the recent Bond films from Casino Royale to Skyfall have been heavily inspired by Nolan's direction and style. It is also without any doubt that many Christopher Nolan films have been inspired by the Bond films (e.g. the opening sequence of the Dark Knight Rises). Thus Nolan and Bond are a perfect cinematic match for eachother. Nolan has also expressed interest several times about directing a 007 movie.

The Theme: MUSE

One of my favourite British bands of all time, I feel MUSE could make a really killer theme tune.

The Cast:

Michael Fassbender as James Bond/007

A bit of an obvious pick I know, but Fassbender would make the perfect Bond. He's got the style, the chops, and the wit to bring a more classical (i.e. less Jason Bourne) Bond to the screen.

Runner-up: Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises)

Antje Traue as Bond Girl #1 (Good)

Not only an absolutely stunning woman, but also a badass! Outside of Eva Green the recent Bond films have been lacking a memorable "Bond Girl" - especially a physically tough one. I feel Traue could be a great "good" Bond Girl assiting a more suave and stylish Bond.

Runner-up: Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones)

Marion Cottilard as Bond Girl #2 (Bad)

Nolan likes to reuse actors and the fact that 007 has a long history of femme fatales makes the beautiful Marion Cottilard my first choice for a more openly villainous "Bond Girl".

Runner-up: Kate Beckinsale (Underworld)

Ewan McGregor as The Villain

McGregor is one of my favourite (and largely underrated) actors of all time. I'd love to see him in a really villainous almost-Moriarty like role.

Runner-up: Luke Evans (Dracula Untold)

Byung Hun Lee as The Henchman

Spectre will see a return to the formidable classic henchman (played by Dave Bautista) and so I hope that trend carries on in the future. Lee is already taking major roles in the GI Joe and Terminator franchises and I'd like him to make an appearance in a Bond film.

Runner-up: Daniel Dae Kim (Lost)

Anthony Hopkins as M

There are many actors who could play M but Hopkins is at the top of my list.

Runner-up: Michael Caine (Inception)

David Tennant as Q

I love Ben Wishaw's take on Q and hope he sticks around for awhile, but given that this is a complete recast Id say the former Doctor himself David Tennant could make a memorable Q. He has all the right personality traits and the talent to both honour the Q character and make it his own.

Runner-up: Matt Smith (Doctor Who)

Jessica Raine as Miss Moneypenny

A key figure in the Bond franchise, lovely British actress Jessica Raine could be perfect in the role.

Runner-up: Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey)

Thanks for reading! Who would you cast in a Bond movie?
