If you've read my previous article, then you know the deal (click the link in the teaser if you have no idea!). This article focuses on what I like to call the "Post-Osborn" Sinister Six, the second incarnation of the group that forms after the hypothetical death of Norman Osborn. As this incarnation wouldn't be bogged down by trying to connect it with Oscorp, I'll just focus on quick reasons as to why I think these actors fit the roles.

Returning Members
Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Doctor Octopus (Leader)
Jason Momoa as Kraven the Hunter

Mads Mikkelsen as Chameleon

Who: Le Chiffre from Casino Royale, Hannibal from Hannibal
Why: He knows how to play a coy (and sometimes insane) villain with dignity and respect.

Jeffrey Combs as Quentin Beck/Mysterio

Who: Herbert West from Re-Animator series, Scarecrow (voice) from The New Batman Adventures
Why: I stumbled upon an article comment by LEVITIKUZ once, where he suggested that Mysterio be a Freddy Krueger-style villain, and I thought that was a brilliant idea. However, I still wanted him to have a certain degree of ham, and I immediately thought of Combs.

Sam Witwer as Mac Gargan/Scorpion

Who: Aidan Waite from Being Human, Darth Maul (voice) from Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Why: I find Sam Witwer to be very good at portraying raw emotion, and he tends to play mentally and emotionally unbalanced characters.

Robert Englund as Adrian Toomes/Vulture

Who: Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street series, Vulture (voice) from The Spectacular Spider-Man
Why: Okay, this one is less "fancasting", and more "he was perfect in Spectacular Spider-Man, and he has amazing screen presence".

And that's my second incarnation of the Sinister Six. I would have excluded Kraven and included Hobgoblin if it weren't for two reasons:
1) I don't know Hobgoblin beyond the 90's cartoon.
2) The Kraven-Chameleon dynamic (them being half-brothers) would be very interesting to see on-screen.

Hope you enjoyed, and please comment!

It's good, but is Kraven in it or not because at the top he is said to be in it but on the bottom he's said to be not in it, but still at the bottom you said something positive about Kraven being in the movie even though you were saying reasons he shouldn't have been in the movie.

Not a bad idea for a big screen Sinister Six--especially the dynamic between Kraven and the Chameleon. (On a side note, I wonder why they got Mads Mikkelsen to voice the Rhino, of all characters, on Ultimate Spider-Man...)

When you have a minute, check out my latest fancast: "Justice League/Avengers"--The Animated Mini-Series.

Kraven would be on the team. I was just reiterating my troubles with casting Hobgoblin, that's all.

Thanks :) I've always enjoyed the fact that they're half-brothers.

Actually, Ultimate Rhino is voiced by an actor named Max Mittelman. I guess the similar sounding names got mixed up during news-spreading lol

And I'll check your fancast out!
