Logan Lerman as Speed Racer
Logan Lerman is appropiate for Speed Racer because he has played heroes in the past. He is basically a normal guy who just happens to be a successful racer driver. I think Logan can convey Speed's personality.
Miley Cyrus as Trixie
I absolutely adore Miley Cyrus, and although I haven't seen her in
Hannah Montana, I have listened to her songs, which are awesome. Miley can be Trixie because she is a free spirit with a kind heart.
Ian Somerhalder as Racer X
I chose Ian Somerhalder for Racer X because Ian has played the badass lonely hero type in
The Vampire Diaries. I know the age difference between him and Logan Lerman is just 14 years, but that doesn't give me too much trouble.
Stephen Moyer as Pops Racer
Before you say anything, I'm aware that Stephen Moyer doesn't have Pops' build, but he can put on a few pounds, just like Patrick Wilson did for
Watchmen. And besides, I want to see him as a strong and kind-hearted father, rather than the vammpire he plays in
True Blood
Elizabeth Mitchell as Mom Racer
Elizabeth Mitchell is perfect for Mom Racer because I always saw her as the sweet and reasonable mother. I liked how Susan Sarandon played Mom in the
Speed Racer, and I think Elizabeth can do the same.
Quinn Lord as Spritle Racer
To the confused people, Quinn Lord played the young Peter Bishop in
Fringe and Hansel/Nicholas Zimmer in
Once Upon a Time. He is just an expert at playing the precocious child.
Shia LeBeouf as Sparky
After seeing the
Transformers trilogy, I think Shia LeBeouf can play Sparky because of his experience with cars.
