UPDATE: Three Actresses Eyed For 'Amanda "The Wall" Waller' Role In JUSTICE LEAGUE: FOREVER EVIL
Apparently, DC Entertainment are interested in three actresses (whose identity you'll find after the jump) for the role of CADMUS leader, 'Amanda "The Wall" Waller' in Justice League: Forever Evil. We also have details on how the task force will be introduced in the movie. Check it out!
Latino-Review (who I would once again like to remind you have had pretty much all of their recent scoops confirmed by trades like Variety and The Hollywood Reporter not too long after dropping them) have revealed some very interesting information about Justice League: Forever Evil today. Apparently, DC Entertainment are searching for an African-American actress between 40-50 described as a "A PHYSICALLY IMPOSING WOMAN". The role? Amanda "The Wall" Waller, one of the main leaders of Cadmus and Checkmate (which seemingly confirms speculation that the organisation will be introduced in Batman: The Red Hood). They add that, "in the film the task force composing of Gypsy, Elongated Man and Booster Gold work for Amanda 'The Wall' Waller."However, that's not all! DC Entertainment are apparently looking at Oprah Winfrey (The Color Purple), Octavia Spencer (Snowpiercer) and Viola Davis (The Help) for the role, but no offer has been made at this point; they're simply three of the actresses that the studio are looking at. How do you guys feel about this news?
UPDATE: HitFix have some additional details on Amanda Waller's role in the sequel:
"In "Forever Evil," Amanda 'The Wall' Waller is the initial threat, the lady they're fighting at the start of the film. She does not have a major ongoing role in the film, but she is responsible for bringing Gypsy, Booster Gold and Elongated Man into contact with the Justice League in the first place, since they start the film working either with or or the Waller. If you look at this like a James Bond movie, Waller's the bad guy they'll take care of in the pre-credits sequence before they move into the main story. The task force have a complicated journey in this film, and the question of what side is the right side to fight on is one of the big things driving the movie overall."
