It starts 6 days from the end of A2 left off.

Another meeting of the Avengers, along with top agents.

Panther must answer for the apprehension of Hulk. He explains that Fury, on behalf of SHIELD, and Stark, being the richest man aware of SHIELD, Hulk and the initiative, contacted him as he rules Wakanda, the largest site in which to find vibranium, the world's strongest alloy.

SHIELD wanted to build a ship for Hulk, whom they felt was growing stronger each change, and was gaining more control over Banner, despite Banner's belief that he was in control. It was actually his subconscious coping with the matter.

The ship would rocket Hulk into an uninhabited planet for the better of Earth should SHIELD determine Banner ever lost complete control. That is why Stark built the Hulkbuster armor.

Upon calming the team, Hill is interrupted by General Ross and secrurity.

Ross demands Thanos be killed. "This is war. Our very existence is at stake. I have discussed, at length, our needs with those the matter concerns most and SHIELD is hereto nonexistent. Men, please detain Ms. Hill and place her in Pegasus.

The ramifications of the alien invasion of Earth, both the one all of you defeated as well as the one we are currently preparing for, forced a massive restructuring of the United States' defense network. The country's primary peace keeping agency was S.H.I.E.L.D., It was decided that S.H.I.E.L.D. was no longer an effective organization.

The U.S. government has allowed me to serve as director of a replacement agency called H.A.M.M.E.R. Under my leadership, H.A.M.M.E.R. had administrative control over every SHIELD employee, including the Avenger Initiative.

I have chosen to reorganized the Avengers, filling their ranks with other super powered members. I, myself will join the fight, donning Stark's armor, as the Iron Patriot."

That causes a huge backlash among the heroes. They demand to know of Stark's approval.

Ross retorts "Stark is out of commission. His aloof behavior has put him in grave danger. If he survives, he is no longer an Avenger and every bit of information he has will be given to HAMMER." to his guards "Avengers, trust these soldiers as we all have the same goal, that is, to save Earth from Thanos. Bring in the Thunderbolts. Named after yours truly.

"Meet Titan, A-Bomb, The Winter Soldier, Namor, Songbird and Constrictor" (representing the original 6 of the movie)

Cap shouts "I will not fight with terrorists!"

Ross "My Thunderbolts are no worse than your Avengers. Did Fury not tell you? Look around, Captain, your team consists of plea-bargaining terrorists alongside test tube junkies, whom you've 'inspired', a bookworm, a lab accident, a forgotten, homeless god and hidden in the shadows of greater people, a worthless king and a petty, powerless woman."

The Thunderbolts are led by

Iron Patriot
Played by
William Hurt returns

Character Description:
In the absence of Osborne in Avengers, being property of Spider-Man and Sony, I chose to use Ross in place of him. The MCU takes a great deal from the Ultimate line and Ross was once the head of SHIELD. I thought he was the best candidate as we already know him, Hulk is gone and he and Stark don't like one another.

I also thought it was funny to use the Thunderbolts as a mixture of Thunderbolts, Masters of Evil and Dark Avengers and put that name on him.

Ross is appointed director of HAMMER and creates the superhero team the Thunderbolts. This opens the door tremendously to other opportunities.

***** I think making Ross the Osborne of the Avengers is a smart, reasonable move. With Osborne owned by Spider-Man, and Ross, a jerk with deep ties already shown in the movies, it's a clear, intelligent move. Hurt is also a fantastic actor that can easily evolve Ross' character to this level.

Keep in mind, Ross was, in the Ultimate line, originally head of SHIELD. Add that to Hulk being shuttled off in my A2 fancast and it makes all the more sense.

Titan (Titanium Man/Nuke)
Played by
Holt McCallany

Character Description:
Ross adds a man called Titan to his team the Thunderbolts; Ross seems to know who he is, but does not reveal his identity. On the first mission to fight The Wrecking Crew, who are stomping threw the city, Ross orders Titan to lead the Thunderbolts and Avengers to subdue them. During the mission, Osborn promotes A-Bomb to field leader when Titan orders the 2 teams to execute the Crew and can't bring them together to due so.

Seeking to win the United States favor by using the lab of Anton Vanko to build a suit of armor, Ross conceived the idea of aligning with, and taking over, SHIELD and the Avengers. He assigned scientists to create a powerful suit of titanium armor based on Vanko's technology.

Frank Simpson was a test subject of a failed supersoldier program, that produced no enhanced abilies unlike the one that had created Captain America. As a result, it was decided to reboot the mission and develop his mind accordingly.

As a black-ops agent, Frank was severely tortured by the program. While torturing him (even carving into his face the American flag), he implanted the phrase "SHUT UP AND COLOR!", meaning that despite the situation at hand, one fights as they are told, as a trigger word. Those words, when heard, cause him to go in to a blind rage of murder.

Ross chooses to have Simpson lead his team under the armor as Titan.

WHY McCALLANY?
He is a solid actor with a rough exterior that physically matches up with Nuke, the man behind the mask.

**** I am assuming/hoping that nuke does not belong to Dare Devil as he is a minute character with links to DD, Wolverine and Cap. I think, like Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, he can be used by more than one hero.

A-Bomb (Abomination)
Voiced by
Tim Roth returns

Character Description:
Blonsky was a Russian-born captain in the British Royal Marines on loan to the US Armed Forces in its efforts to recapture Bruce Banner. A super-soldier serum transforms Blonsky into a superior soldier, but in an attempt to match the Hulk, he secretly receives an infusion of Banner's blood, which further transforms him. The project's original screenwriter Zak Penn said the character would not be called 'The Abomination', since the codename sounded "silly". The novelization mentioned that Abomination has been taken into S.H.I.E.L.D. custody and is revered as a war hero, blaming Hulk for everything. The character is pardoned and employed by the U.S government as a hitman against hostile powers.

****Considered a war hero by the government in the movies and the fact that he is a ruthless, powerful and intelligent (thing) it is an easy transition that a soldier like Ross enlist him into his ranks.

Songbird
Played by
Katee Sackhoff

Character Description:
In order to survive on the streets, Mimi developed a hard edge to her personality. She agreed to earn supplementary income by performing a covert operation for the Roxxon Oil Company. Mimi received an apparatus that converted her voice to high-frequency sonics for various effects.

Ross arranged for Mimi to have her vocal enhancements internalized as a throat implant and contacted her to join his Thunderbolts.

Mimi is clearly uncomfortable with the situation, and is only still on the team for fear of imprisonment. She has been shown to dislike most of her teammates, as instead of villains seeking redemption, the new team of Thunderbolts are largely fighting for personal gain.

When Ross is given control of H.A.M.M.E.R. and decides to make the Thunderbolts into his own hit squad, Mimi needs convincing. Under Ross'orders, the Winter Soldier corners Songbird with a blade to her back, telling her to ask him to kill her.She manages to deflect him, and escapes as Titan also hunts her down under A-Bomb's orders, but she manages to survive and join.

WHY SACKHOFF?
She's a very tough actress with strong geek cred. She's young enough to throw down but old enough to not be taken lightly. Long rumored to be connected to Typhoid Mary, I thought it was a nice nod.

Winter Soldier
Played by
Sebastian Stan returns

Character Description:
After the plane explodes, General Vasily Karpov and the crew of a Russian patrol submarine find Bucky's cold-preserved body, minus one arm. Bucky is revived in Moscow, but suffers brain damage with amnesia as a result of the explosion. Scientists attach a bionic arm, upgrading it every time technology improves.

Programmed to be a Soviet assassin under the code name the Winter Soldier, he is sent on covert missions involving assassination, becoming increasingly ruthless and efficient as he kills in the name of the state. While a Soviet agent, he also has a brief relationship with The Black Widow. The Winter Soldier is kept in a cryogenic stasis when not on missions, and as a result has aged only a few years to a young adult since the closing days of World War II.

Barnes was then sent into the custody of the Thunderbolts who told him that he'll be inducted into their group.

See also: The Death of Captain America... oops, ignore that ;p

**** This is a way to bring Bucky back into the fold and progress the story or other stories forward.

Namor
Played by
Sam Witwer **** Roaddog@ gets the credit for that one

Character Description:
Namor was subsequently born among the blue-skinned Atlanteans. He became the Prince of Atlantis. When World War II broke out, he began fighting the Axis powers, hidden within merky waters and using shadows to hide himself. He saved the life of an unconscious Captain America in his fight against Baron Zemo before the war ended. Namor is a natural leader, he has historically led troops into battle with expert success. His extreme intelligence allowed him to become fluent in English in a matter of minutes merely by listening to soldiers talking.

After the Chitauri attack on Earth, Namor contacted SHIELD and forged an alliance with the surface dwellers

Because of his unusual genetic heritage, Namor is unique among both ordinary humans and Atlanteans; his ability to fly can't be explained by either side. Due to a unique aspect of his hybrid nature, it was theorized that Namor is vulnerable to oxygen imbalances in his blood that trigger manic-depressive mood swings; he can prevent imbalances by regular immersion in water.
.
Namor has greater longevity than a normal human being. He is well over 80 years old as he was born in 1920 in the Marvel timeline, but has the appearance of a male in his prime. Namor's strength level is such that he has held his own in hand to hand combat with beings as powerful as the Hulk in the past. Namor has gills for breathing underwater. Namor gives off a sense of charisma which most women tend to find captivating. Many of the ladies that have entered his life made clear their attraction to his masculine, slightly alien personality in ways both subtle and blatant.

****Namor, like the others, I believe, is not owned by the Fantastic 4 or X-Men or anything of that nature. He is the poster child for Marvel and should be "that guy" in the Marvel movie world.

****I thought this was a good play on his Dark X-Men/Cabal/villain/anti-hero status in Marvel.

Constrictor
Played by
Joel Kinnaman

Character Description:
Frank Payne was an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. When S.H.I.E.L.D. needed an agent to go undercover in Roxxon, to insure no legal activities were being pursued (this undercover operation was done in addition to Agent Morse, this being deep, deep undercover, known only by Fury, Coulson and the board). He was reported dead to colleagues. He infiltrated the company, only to lose himself in his new identity. As a result, S.H.I.E.L.D. abandoned him and the mission, considering him a loss and an enemy.

He became an independent mercenary, criminal, and assassin. He worked with slave traders and ran into Black Widow and Hawkeye while the 2 were attempting to save the life of Drakoff's daughter and after a severe beating from the 2, he was incarcerated by SHIELD, not before killing the girl.

He is currently under the employment of HAMMER as a member of the Thunderbolts. Released under the orders of Ross and given a snake-themed costume and a pair of wrist-mounted electrified metal coils, modified from Vanko's armor. Payne now goes by the alias, Constrictor.

****Constrictor may seem a bit out there as a choice, but given his connection to SHIELD, his position as a soldier/agent, and his costume's similarity to Vanko's, it was a natural choice.

****Kinnaman, also, may seem out of the ordinary, however, upon learning how close he was to nabbing the role of Thor, I felt, with Marvel's appreciation of his talents, and his willingness to don a costume, it was a fair pick.

If anyone is eager to see where I am taking these movies, I will write the plot and show it in fan fiction. I have many ideas I'd love to out on paper, although I'm not into wasting my time if no one is curious enough. Clearly I enjoy my work. but if it does not intise at least a few, than it's not worth my time.

Please leave healthy feedback.

****Whereas Ross takes Osborne's spot, Nova takes Silver Surfer's who is a property of Fantastic 4.

****The twins will not be mutants, an X-Men trademark, probably. Instead, they are Inhumans, opening that door.

In my Cap 2 fancast, Cap gets knocked out and is about to die when Namor saves him. Cap sees his feet diving back into the water. So he knows Cap but Cap doesnt "know" him

Thanks for giving me credit for your choosing Namor. Glad it's getting around!

The other choices are splendid. I'd like to see you cast a brand-spankin' new trilogy for Spider-Man or Fantastic Four set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Plans to do that yet?

I don't know how I missed this!

Nice original ideas!

It looks like SPIDER-MAN might be coming back
to MARVEL and MARVEL STUDIOS. That would be
fantastic!

Then OSBORN can come to THE AVENGERS and the
whole THUNDERBOLTS/H.A.M.M.E.R. thing can happen
eventually! And OSBORN will be IRON PATRIOT!

But your alternative idea here makes sense with
ROSS as IRON PATRIOT and taking over HAMMER
and forming the THUNDERBOLTS because of his name!

Great fancast!

Especially like MCCALLANY as TITANIUM/NUKE!

HOORAY for ROADDOG@'S NAMOR!
What a casting-coup!
lol
