The FANTASTIC FOUR Cast Want To See 'Namor' and 'Silver Surfer' In Sequel

At a press junket in Atlanta, the cast of Josh Trank's Fantastic Four were asked what they'd like to see in the planned 2017 sequel, with Jamie Bell (who portrays the Thing in the film) offering his thoughts first up. "I'd like to see more of how the characters interact with each other famously from the comic," he explained. "It would be appealing to me. This one very much is to get them to that point, to take them from people you don't know, to transition into characters you can recognize. The job of the next film is taking it further and having the characters already established, seeing them interact in the very famous kind of way. Things between me and Johnny get very antagonistic. More of a blossoming love story between Reed and Sue. More of a family dynamic. Stuff like that would be great. There's a wealth of material and with a 90 minute run time of an origin story it's very difficult to fit it all in."

Dr. Doom serves as the antagonist for the freshly-faced team in this year's reboot, and with the Fantastic Four comics housing a wealth of villains, the cast turned their thoughts to the characters they'd like to face off against next. "You can't get away from Silver Surfer," Bell said. "I know chronologically speaking that was the next villain in the previous franchise but I think Silver Surfer is cool looking." The character previously appeared in 2007's Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, which didn't exactly wow audiences or critics, so whether Fox would be willing to take another stab at him is up in the air. Still, with the version of Galactus in that film being a stickler for fans, perhaps they may adapt the two once again...

Michael B. Jordan, who plays Human Torch, added a suggestion of his own: Namor. "Namor is a cool one," he said, adding he is, "by far, he's the strongest mutant. You know what I'm saying? Maybe not by far, but he's the strongest mutant. It would be a pretty interesting battle, the Fantastic Four vs. Namor." Considering Namor's rights are currently with Universal Studios, it's not likely we'll see him go head-to-head with the FF anytime soon, though it'd certainly be something fans would be happy to see. Who, or what, would you like to see in the Fantastic Four sequel?

I feel like DrDoom will hate on this movie no matter what his actual thoughts on it are.

I hate fanboys who think they're entitled to have their favorite characters portrayed 100% accurately on screen.

I guess if you're making a movie just to keep the rights you might as well go all out.

BUT I WILL NOT SUPPORT THIS CRAPPY MOVIE. ANTMAN IS WAY BETTER AND LOOKS LIKE IT'LL BE OVERSHADOWED BY THIS MONSTROSITY.

@JamesMann disgusting, glad the cast handled it well. The scary thing is though, those interviewers are no better than 99% of the [frick]ers on this site. Really want this movie to succeed.

Can't wait until next week.

Yeah, Kate and Michael were champions. Jamie looked so uncomfortable that he could've died.
I'm seeing the movie in four days, I hope that it kicks ass.

Namor isn't happening, but Silver Surfer might. Yet that will only happen if people see the movie and I'll be honest I haven't heard much hype from anyone for this movie. Maybe there has been, but no one I've heard of.

@staypuffed Seriously. I laughed though when Michael B. Jordan answered his phone, at least it eased the tension. Interview should've ended sooner!

Well I'd like to see the FF in Civil war so neither of us are going to get what we want Mr Jordan. Don't they prep these kids at all ? So they know who to promote. You have the whole X-Men universe to pick from, Fox your not even trying sigh.......

I know those guys were allowed to be there, but after the first minute, hell, the first thirty seconds, they should've been kicked out.

It's sad, some people are so spiteful and butthurt that even if the movie is good, the fanboys are gonna find the least little detail to bitch about. Which before I get these "intelligent" responses I know everyone has an opinion. But why not wait to bitch after the movie is released.
Wait, that's asking for too much......
Anyway the way I see it(as I've said countless other times) this movie is either going to be surprisingly good or completely terrible. Based on past movies in August(notably NINJA TURTLES) it'll probably get a divided reaction; it'll PROBABLY do better overseas than domestic, but that's a big PROBABLY.
If it crosses 300 million worldwide, sorry mothe[frick]ers, the sequel will definitely be made. Would personally like to see the Skrulls in the sequel.

Yep yep, the amount of unprofessional behavior there was astounding. They sounded exactly like some people we've seen around here. That one guy just hopped aboard the Creeper Express at the end of the video.

I'm sure I'll get hate for saying this but compared to most interviews for CBMs, these guys really don't seem to interview that well

Maybe it's because I haven't seen enough interviews, they just always seem really awkward, imo

I think the best interviews I've seen are with Marvel, Pratt, RDJ, Rudd, Evans, SrarJo, Renner etc, they can handle themselves in any situation

Can't wait to see the promotion and interviews for B v S and SS

Oh God, please don't let them [frick] up more characters.
Let me guess, they'll turn Namor into a black woman. What, don't like it? OBVIOUSLY your a sexist racist.
Khanlark
Khanlark - 7/31/2015, 7:25 PM
I can't even begin to understand the hatred for this movie. Sure, the costumes aren't the same, and Susan is adopted, but who the flying [frick] gives a shit? In the comics, the Four didn't get their costumes until the 5th issue, so please, stop complaining haha.

Anyway, movie looks dope, movie will be dope, and I am ridiculously keen for this franchise.
