See a mad as hell Sam Worthington as Perseus

Honestly, I am psyched about this movie. I loved the original, but I just want to see how this will look like with the current technology. I remember the first one as the one which introduced me to Greek myths. It eventually made me fall in love with comic book superheroes-- which are just modern equivalents of those mythologies.

An Exclusive article by Empire reads:

If one thing is clear from the "Clash of the Titans" cover this month, it's that Sam Worthington is not a man you want to mess with. Starring as Perseus in the updated version, he's looking mad as hell, and you better believe he's not going to take it any more.

"Clash" leads this month's content. This includes a huge retrospective on the "Alien" saga, including an all-new and very in-depth exclusive interview with Sigourney Weaver, an update on the whereabouts of all the Colonial Marines, and a set report from the troubled production of "Alien3."

I know! I know! There's really not much love here for Sam Worthington, but I'll reserve my judgment after I've watched the movie.

Very excited for clash. Hopefully Worthington can deliver a good performance, and not whisper throughout the whole movie ;)

The cast is what has me most excited. Liam Neeson as Zeus (awesome), Ralph Fiennes as Hades (also awesome), Gemma Arterton, Mads Mikkelsen (hell yeah!), etc.

Hopefully this is as good as it looks..or at least, as good as its cast! Worthington better keep that accent in check. I;m still pissed off that he's bald. All of the other characters have long hair! Did Zeus magic up a buzz cut razor for Perseus specially?

It looks a decent movie. Im still not sure if Worthington is a good actor or not (it was hard to tell with his sometimes good and sometimes bad performance in Terminator) but is that the only haircut he's willing to have or something!? It looks completely outta place in a movie like this!

Lol... It is true the ancient Greeks did have a bit of a pretty boy complex, they tended to primp themselves before battle so that they would look good when they died, I kid you not. Also a shorn head was a sign of slavery in ancient Greece. I don't think the flobbie existed back then so I don't know why they gave Worthington a buzz cut, bad research I guess... but hey , it’s a story based on Greek Myth with a snake haired woman whose stare could turn you to stone (my mother-in-law was alive back then?)so you have to cut them some slack. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

I love the original. Hopefully the cgi will pay homage to Harryhausen's effects. That Medusa segment really amazed me back in the day

@nerosday, yeah but he just looks out of place. Its like they dressed a football hooligan in ancient Greek armor.

The original movie is such a classic for me, and Worthington is already on my shit list. That weak link in the cast better deliver, to have a sequel come out almost thirty years later and have it suck would really piss me off.

yeah idk bout this because sam in that armor looks well like a football athlete rather than a greek warrior. plus the armor looks fairly week as is he's wearin a t shirt and football gear and plated boots. i have to hold judgements later but im sure the movie will be pretty cool.

what i would love to see revived from greek mythology is Jason and the Argonauts. anyone played rise of the argonauts the game. that story was not accurate but it could make an epic movie. it would be awesome to see both norse (Thor) and greek mythology go head to head.

Worthington seems all wrong, to me, for the part of an ancient Greek fighting Greek Gods. If you look at the pictures of ancient Greeks and Greek Gods they all usually have long wavy hair not a buzz-cut! Sam is no Harry Hamlin! He doesn't have a tenth of the charisma Harry had in the original!
