Fast Five director Justin Lin has a lot of offers right now, but one project that he was working on since 2009 is the
Highlander remake for
Summit Entertainment. Talking to MTV, he shared some new info on the status of the project.
"I've been working with ['Iron Man' writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway] on the script. That's one where Summit has been really good [about letting it develop], and for me, it's about making sure that we can take it to the place where I feel comfortable and great about making it. I feel like I have a very good studio and team and we're working on it."
As you know, Lin is also working on another Terminator film, but it looks like
Highlander is shaping up nicely so far.
"I have different projects at different stages. You work on so many projects all at once, and at some point, you have to make the call. I feel like right now, 'Highlander' is in pretty good shape, but I still have to see all the other things come together for us to go make it. When I get back [from promoting 'Fast Five' internationally] we'll keep working on it."
While I can't say this is a good idea, I am curious to see what will they do with this one. What are your thoughts on
Highlander remake?
